Some of Monaghan Integrated Developments staff were delighted to attend the “AI Works for Ireland” event at the Peace Campus, Monaghan, on Thursday, 28th May — and what an amazing and informative day it was! 🤖✨

Hosted in partnership with Google, the event brought together an inspiring range of guest speakers, industry experts, and business leaders to explore the exciting opportunities Artificial Intelligence can offer.

It was fantastic to hear valuable insights from Google representatives and keynote speakers, alongside contributions from Minister of State Niamh Smyth TD and Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Cllr. P.J. O’Hanlon.

A truly engaging and insightful event, full of learning, innovation, and inspiration for the future of AI. A huge well done to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic day! 💡

What a lovely Staff Day yesterday for the team at Monaghan Integrated Development! 😊

The day gave staff from across the organisation a chance to come together, share updates on the important work happening in different programmes and services, and learn more about what everyone is doing to support individuals, families, communities, and businesses across County Monaghan.

It was a great opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, have a few laughs, strengthen connections, and celebrate the teamwork that makes MID such a positive and supportive place to work.

Days like these are a lovely reminder of the importance of collaboration, connection, and taking time to appreciate one another and the valuable work being carried out every day. 💛

What a fantastic day at Monaghan Has It Day last Saturday! 🎉

Some of the staff from Monaghan Integrated Development and Monaghan Volunteer Centre were delighted to be part of such a positive community event. The atmosphere was amazing, and it was truly heartwarming to see so much community spirit, local support, and friendly faces throughout the day.

📢 Launch of County Monaghan Health Needs Assessment Report Highlights Need for Dedicated Traveller Primary Care Project 🩺🤝

A new Health Needs Assessment Report for County Monaghan was officially launched today at St Joseph’s, Monaghan, highlighting significant health inequalities experienced by members of the Traveller community and identifying the urgent need for the establishment of a dedicated Primary Care Project for Travellers in the county. 📘🏥

The event was hosted by Monaghan Integrated Development, which led the research and consultation process. The project was funded by Genio and involved extensive engagement with Travellers, service providers and community stakeholders. 🤝🗣️

The Steering Committee for the project included MID, HSE, Pavee Point, Monaghan Traveller Movement and Cavan Traveller Movement. Health Questionnaires were completed by project worker Sally Flynn. 📝

Speakers at the launch included Kilian Cawley, Patricia Gartlan, Tanya Lalor and Chrissie O'Sullivan. 🎤

The assessment identifies a range of barriers affecting Traveller access to healthcare services and underscores the importance of culturally appropriate, community-led health supports. ❤️‍🩹🏘️

A key recommendation is the development of a Traveller Primary Care Project in County Monaghan to improve health outcomes, strengthen engagement with services and address longstanding inequalities. 📍💙

The report provides an important evidence base to inform future planning and investment, ensuring Traveller health needs are recognised and responded to through targeted, sustainable action across the county. 📊✅
