We are excited to announce that we are hoping to relaunch a scout group in Garristown! If you live in the Garristown area and would like to get involved as an adult volunteer or have children that would be interested in joining the scouting adventure then please pop in to our meeting tomorrow evening for a chat! 🏕️🥾

At the Fingal County Cub Challenge, young Agents of Fingal took on a full field mission—completing a site build, tackling an adventure skills interactive quiz, updating mission log books, and proving their survival know-how with a test meal, campfire, and site breakfast.

With “double agents” hidden among the teams, secret tasks were quietly underway throughout the challenge. Some were uncovered at the campfire debrief, while others managed to stay undercover right to the end of the mission.

A weekend of teamwork, mystery, and outdoor skills—case files closed (for now).

Congratulations to all our teams, especially Swords who placed first, Balbriggan in 2nd and Lusk in 3rd. 🏆

What a (sunny) weekend at the Fingal Scout County Shield 🏕️

12 patrols took on the challenge — building incredible sites, tackling bases, serving up impressive test meals, crafting detailed logbooks, performing brilliant campfire skits, showcasing creativity at the trade fair, and packing it all away again 💪

Huge congratulations to all the teams and their dedicated Scouters — the effort, skill, and spirit on display was outstanding 👏

A special bravo to our overall winners who dominated the weekend taking home Campcraft, Bases, Cooking, Engineering, and Campfire Skit 🏆

They’ll be joined at Phoenix 2026 by (2nd place — Logbook & PL Leadership winners) and , recipients of the inaugural Rising Star Award for the most improvement since last year ⭐

Fingal were out on the hills over the weekend both home and away!

Three incredible teams representing , , and took on the challenge of the Ulster MPC in Donegal 💪🌧️ Battling through some seriously tough conditions, they showed true resilience, teamwork, and Scout spirit every step of the way 👏

Meanwhile, huge congratulations to Thomas from Brackenstown Ventures who pushed his limits even further, taking on Mountain Havoc GB and conquering both Helvellyn and Scafell Pike 🏔️An outstanding achievement!

We’re so proud of all involved – your determination and adventure inspire us all!

Ventures took on the beach walk from Laytown to Balbriggan last week and didn’t let the wet weather slow them down!

On Friday Fingal cubs and beavers took off to Peter Pan in Rolestown for our annual county panto trip — and what an evening it was!

📍From 8 different groups all together for a brilliant evening of fun, laughter and magic.

A huge cheer for own Beaver leader Gillian who starred in the production 👏

Boots on, packs ready, and spirits high! 🥾Scouts from Bremore, Brackenstown, Lusk, and Skerries took on the Fia Challenge this weekend in Lough Dan — a true test of endurance, teamwork, and adventure! 💪
From steep climbs to stunning views, every kilometre was a chance to push limits, support each other, and celebrate what Scouting is all about.
Massive congrats to everyone who took part — you’ve earned those blisters and bragging rights! Special thanks to Ian for organising this brilliant weekend 👏

They came together to grow as leaders and bring these skills back to their patrols!
