Pamex Limited warmly invites our friends, families, colleagues, and the wider community to come together in support of the Sunflower Children’s Hospice a vital project that will provide care and comfort for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, right here outside Dublin.

Next week, our team will take on a meaningful relay journey from Crumlin to Castlebar, passing a sunflower along the route as a symbol of hope, remembrance, and unity. The journey will finish at the proposed hospice site in Moneen.

To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a community celebration:

📍 The Mall, Castlebar
📅 Friday 26th June | 12pm–4pm

Expect a fun-filled afternoon for all ages, including live music, food trucks, family activities, a dog show, exotic animals, vintage cars, games, prizes, and more, with Alan Clarke as MC!

This is more than an event it’s a chance to support something that will make a lasting difference for children and families who need it most.

An invitation to you from everyone Pamex Limited

Pamex Limited invites you, your colleagues, friends and family to join us in supporting a very special cause next Friday, as we raise funds and awareness for the Sunflower Children's Hospice.

The Sunflower Children's Hospice will be the only children's hospice outside of Dublin, providing vital care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and to their families.

· On Wednesday 24th June, members of the Pamex team will embark on an ambitious relay journey from Crumlin in Dublin to Castlebar. Over the course of two days, team members will walk and run the route, passing a sunflower between participants at each handover point. The sunflower will act as a symbol of remembrance, hope and support for the children and families who will benefit from this incredible project.

· The relay will conclude on Thursday evening as the team arrives at the proposed site of the Sunflower Children's Hospice, beside the Primary Care Centre at Moneen.

To celebrate the completion of the relay and continue fundraising efforts, Pamex Limited will host the Sunflower Festival on Friday 26th June from 12pm to 4pm on The Mall, Castlebar.

The Sunflower Festival promises a fantastic fun afternoon for everyone to enjoy:

· Exotic Zoo

· Dog Show

· Vintage Car Display

· Spot Prizes and Hampers

· Games and Challenges

· The Dunk Tank featuring some well known surprise guests!!

Great news for Castlebar today. Additional funding has been announced by Alan Dillon TD for the expansion of Mayo based leisure complex at Lough Lannagh.

Phase 2 of the development will deliver an 11-metre, competition-standard indoor climbing wall, new gym and fitness studios, wet rooms and changing facilities for water-based activities, lecture rooms, administrative offices, a café, and a public viewing gallery.

This just adds to the already fabulous sporting facilities that Castlebar can offer.
Next phase of the skating park is also in construction.

Mayo listed recently as one of the best places to live. These facilities definitely add to this.

Well done to our Committee Member Michael Gill (Head of Department at ATU, Faculty of Business) along woth his colleagues on organising another great Youth Entrepreneurship Programme. He visited our President at her place of work where Ger Flanagan (Acquired Digital) and herself presented to students about setting up a business. They chatted through the pitfalls, opportunities out there and ensuring setting up a business that solves a problem.

We hope to see these young students go on to set up some businesses in our town in the future.
