New Inclusive Coffee Shop Set to Open at The Linenhall, Castlebar
The Linenhall Arts Centre and Rehab Group’s National Learning Network (NLN) have launched a new partnership that will see NLN trainees operate a coffee shop and hospitality service at The Linenhall in Castlebar. This new facility will be called Nest Cáfe (a learning and skills hub)
The initiative will provide valuable real-world hospitality experience for trainees while supporting skills development, confidence and pathways to employment. It also reflects both organisations’ commitment to inclusion, community participation and opportunity.
For The Linenhall, the collaboration strengthens its role as a welcoming community space where people can meet, connect and engage with culture.
Fiona Neary, Director of Operations at The Linenhall, said: “This partnership brings hospitality, skills development, inclusion and the arts together in a practical way, creating opportunities for people to learn, participate and contribute to their community.”
As part of the project, The Linenhall will document the partnership to capture key learning and share insights with organisations interested in developing similar collaborations between the arts, training and social enterprise sectors.
The partnership is expected to benefit trainees, audiences and the wider Castlebar community, making The Linenhall an even more welcoming place to meet, connect and enjoy.
