Caherlistrane/Kilcoona Community Council has been in operation since 1975. We continuously work to improve local amenities and our environs.

We are a voluntary community organisation who engage with and enhance the lives of members of our community. Caherlistrane Kilcoona Community Council has been in operation since 1975. We are a voluntary community group whose members are made up of residents from the local area. Our aim is to promote and improve community life within the parishes of Kilcoona and Caherlistrane, and to positively influence the development of the area. We meet every month (normally the third Wednesday) alternating between the Parochial House, Corner Chapel and the Caherlistrane Community Centre. Visitors and New members are always very welcome.

Please join us this evening to acknowledge and celebrate the new footpath lights installed between the GAA pitch and the shop.

8 PM: Community Walk (GAA Pitch to the shop and back). Please wear hi-viz vest.Tea & coffee served in the hall following the walk.

This is a wonderful addition to our area's infrastructure, and all are encouraged to join for the walk, refreshments, or both!

A lovely event is taking place in Skehana this Friday to celebrate National Culture Night.

As part of the evening, the wonderful contribution of Fr. Pat O'Brien to the Skehana community will be remembered.

It promises to be a special evening of culture, music, history and community spirit.

A huge thank you to Barbara and Stuart, who earlier this summer put these wonderful floral displays in place, at the entrance to Caherlistrane village.

We are extremely grateful to them for their ongoing support of the Community Council. We also acknowledge all of the volunteers who care for and maintain the flower tubs throughout the summer months at the junction at Gannon's and Corner Chapel. Your hard work and dedication help keep our community looking so welcoming and beautiful. Thank you all 🙏🏻
