There is a massive game in Cregg this evening as U19's play out a knockout group game with Monivea-Abbey.

A win will put Annaghdown into a Northboard Semi-Final away to Cortoon Shamrocks in two weeks while a loss or draw will knock us out of the championship.

After a win away to Mountbellew-Moylough two weeks ago, it is all to play for against Monivea-Abbey this evening.

A big home support is encouraged this evening to try help our team over the line.

This Saturday our hurlers take on An Spidéal in their 3rd game of the Premier Junior Hurling Championship. Carnmore is the venue again and a win will secure a top 2 finish in our group.

After a tough-fought battle with Bearna na Forbacha two weeks ago with a strong Annaghdown support in Carnmore, it would be great to see a big crowd again this Saturday. With ourselves and An Spidéal both on 3 points, it promises to be a close battle as we have seen over the years in this match-up.

Well done to James Healy and Olan Kelly who have both been named on the Galway Bay FM Senior football team of the Week (Round 3).

Both players contributed well to a solid team performance as our senior footballers shared the spoils with Oughterard and progress to the Quarter-Final having topped the group.

Result:
Annaghdown 2-15
Oughterard 1-18

Annaghdown are through to the Galway SFC Quarter Finals in four weeks. The draw for this will take place in two weeks time after the Preliminary Quarter Finals.

Annaghdown cannot meet Salthill/Knocknacarra, Moycullen, Corofin, Tuam Stars or Oughterard in the Quarter Final.

It’s a big day for our Senior footballers tomorrow as they have the opportunity to top Group 4 and qualify directly for the Quarter Finals of the Galway SFC.

After having great support for our adult teams in Cregg, Kenny Park, Carnmore and Corofin over the past number of weeks, we are asking you to bring this support and enthusiasm to Pearse Stadium on Sunday afternoon for this massive game against Oughterard.

During the celebrations marking 30 years of the Annaghdown GAA Club lotto held in Lydon's last night, Club Chairman J.J Shiel made a special presentation on behalf of Annaghdown GAA Club to Fr. Séan Cunningham, in gratitude for his service during his time as Parish Priest in Corrandulla and Annaghdown and for his generosity and support to our club during this time.
All at Annaghdown GAA wish Fr. Séan the very best and every blessing as he makes the move to Clifden. We know his many friends in Annaghdown will make plenty of journeys West to visit him and keep in touch. Thank you Fr. Séan.

Last night in Lydon's bar and restaurant our dedicated Annaghdown GAA Club Lotto Committee members past and present gathered to recognise and celebrate 30 years of our fantastic club lotto.
It was a happy occasion for the many who attended and we as a club are grateful for the massively positive contribution to the day to day running of our club, that our lotto volunteers have made and continue to make, through their efforts and commitment across 30 years.
Sincere thanks to Fr. Séan Cunningham who was a special guest on the night and who has been so supportive and generous to our club, and to the people of Annaghdown, during his years as parish priest in Corrandulla. The night was topped with music and song, led brilliantly by Regis on the guitar.
Special mention must be given to those volunteers that have been involved from the beginning 30 years ago through to this present day, two of whom, Tom Small and Padraig Fahy, have attended the weekly lotto draws on the Sunday and Monday nights since the very beginning.
We also remember fondly those club members who have contributed to the club lotto who have since passed on. Their presence is greatly missed and the memories of their contributions and friendship remains.
Thanks also to everyone who supports the club by playing the Annaghdown GAA club lotto each week, it really is vital to the club as the main source of income to keep our club running and cover the costs associated with that month to month and year to year.
The lotto continues to be a success, as is recognisable in the many winners it has had throughout the years. With 32 numbers to choose from and a current jackpot of €18,500 it remains a brilliant initiative which allows all who enter to be in with a great chance of winning while also supporting our club.

U13 Connacht GAA Skills Challenge

Very well done to our U13 footballers Oisín Flynn, Dylan Duggan, Aaron Maxwell and Eoghan Melville, who proudly represented our club last night in the Galway Football County Competition of the U13 Connacht GAA Skills Challenge in Loughgeorge.

The boys put in a brilliant performance and qualified for the Connacht Final after finishing first place in the shooting section of the competition.
All the hard work and practice the lads have put in was clear to see yesterday evening.
A fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the effort they have put into their football.
We now look forward to representing our club in the Connacht Final on the 25th of September.

Some of the action from our hurlers fine win over a dogged Bearna-Na Forbeacha in the Premier Junior Hurling Championship on Saturday last at Carnmore.
Our lads won out on a scoreline of 2-17 to 1-15. That makes it a win and a draw in our opening two group games with fixture details for our next match to be shared once confirmed. Well done lads 🇦🇹👏
