🎉 A huge milestone for Brosna today as we officially turned the sod on the new Brosna Playground! 🎉

It has been a long journey, but thanks to the incredible support of our community, we are finally breaking ground. A massive thank you to everyone who attended today’s event and to every single person who has donated and supported this cause along the way.

Special thanks to Natalie Maher for capturing the day so beautifully in photos 📸, to all of our amazing committee members who have worked tirelessly over the last two years to make this dream a reality, and to Pat O’Connor, our contractor, who will be starting work on Monday 👷‍♂️

Thank you to Bobby O’Connell for attending our turning of the sod today and for all of his continued support, and to Kerry County Council for all of their support and guidance throughout this process.

This is such an exciting day for Brosna, and we can’t wait to see the playground take shape over the coming weeks! 💚

A huge thank you to the counsellors and the BCDA committee for your planning, guidance, and dedication behind the scenes. Events like these don’t happen without time, teamwork, and passion — and we appreciate each and every effort. Thank you to the Kerry‘s eye for coming and taking pictures and the Kerryman for doing a piece for us during the week. 

Brosna National School provided us with lovely harmonious songs, with lots of fabulous Christmas jumpers thank you.

Finally, thank you to the Parish Hall for opening your doors and providing a warm and welcoming venue. Your hospitality made all the difference.

And of course, to everyone who came out to shop, support local, and share the festive spirit — thank you! Your presence created an atmosphere of joy, community, and Christmas cheer.

The BCDA benefited from the raffle tickets sold for the playground last night a total of €3281 👏👏👏👏👏👏
