The company has successfully managed, coordinated and implemented a wide range of national and European projects and programmes since its establishment in 1989, and currently deliv

Looking for a fun and creative summer activity for little ones?

Join us for a complimentary Family Arts & Crafts Workshop this July at Kilmallock Library, where parents and children can enjoy a morning of creativity, colour, and summer-themed crafting together.

Hosted by Creative Minds, this hands-on workshop is designed for children aged 4–7 years and their parents or guardians. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together, spark imagination, and create a special summer art project to take home.

This practical talk and gentle guided walk will explore the wild plants and native species growing all around us β€” from nettles and cleavers to hawthorn, elder and plantain. Discover their traditional uses, seasonal benefits and the important role they play in supporting biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.

Alongside learning about plants, the session will also include simple nature connection and sensory practices designed to support wellbeing, grounding and emotional balance.

✨ Over 140 volunteers from across the Ballyhoura region came together at The Millennium Centre in Caherconlish to celebrate the incredible impact of volunteering during National Volunteer Week.

Volunteers and community groups from Newtownshandrum to Castleconnell gathered to celebrate community spirit, connection and collaboration, with contributions from the the committee from The Street Bar in Kilteely, Doon & District Men’s Shed, Cappamore Women’s Shed, Herbertstown Hub, Blasta Community CafΓ©, Granagh Development, Newtownshandrum Tidy Towns, Kilteely Tidy Towns and many more. πŸ’š

The evening included a welcome from Jess Angland, the volunteer Chairperson of the volunteer Board of Ballyhoura Development, a presentation from Ben Kiely of University of Limerick on Givebackathon, a screening of The Pub That Refused to Die, and an inspiring keynote speech from former Mountjoy Prison Governor John Lonergan.

A special thank you to Mulcair Men’s Shed Choir for their beautiful performance, and to the staff and volunteers of The Millennium Centre and Blasta Community CafΓ© for helping make the evening such a memorable celebration.
