Let's hope this is the start of the summer gigs weather. Well not have a bottle of sun cream left in the kitchen bags. And that's not a bad complaint.

We had 10 solo competitors and 20 members playing in ensembles today for Ardee Concert Band at the this weekend.

We took home prizes across the board with firsts in the U16, U19 and Open sections along with 2nd places in the U12, U19, Junior and Intermediate Ensembles. Lots more silverware on it's way to Ardee! What a Talent from these Youngsters. 🎉🏆🎉

U12 - Callum Doolan 2nd place
U16 - Tadhg Doolan 1st place
U19 - Hollie Reilly 1st place, Emma Boyle 2nd place
Open - Ruby McHugh 1st place
Junior Ensemble - ACB 2nd place
Intermediate Ensemble - ACB 2nd place

Super playing by our 10 soloists and 20 members in our ensembles. Banding is safe in the wee county for another while! 😉

Delighted to be able to facilitate the National Band Championships once again this year

Message from the Irish Association of Brass and Concert Bands - IABCB ;

We are just 4 days away from this year's National Band Championships, being held on Saturday May 9th, at the Bohemian Centre, Ardee, Co Louth.
18 bands will battle it out across several Brass and Concert Band sections.

The schedule for the day is as follows (all timings are approximate):

10am - Unregistered Section (1 band)
10:10am - Section 4 Concert Bands (4 bands)
11:30am - Section 3 Concert Bands (1 band)
11:50am - Section 2 Brass Bands (2 bands)
12:30pm - Adjudication and Results

1-2pm - Break

2pm - Section 2 Concert Bands (3 bands)
2:55pm - Section 1 Brass Bands (4 bands)
4:15pm - Section 1 Concert Bands (3 bands)
5:30pm - Adjudication and Results

We are delighted to welcome world-renowned Tuba soloist, Les Neish, as the adjudicator for this year's event.

Tickets for the full day are just €5, and available on the day. Please note, the event is cash only with no facility for electronic payments.
