🌿✨ Cherrybrook Entrance Works – Starting Today! ✨🌿

The Cherrybrook Residents Association is delighted to let residents know that Ross McMahon and the team from McMahon Landscaping, Ardee, are starting work today at the entrance to our estate.

The project will include:
🧚‍♀️ A Fairy Village on the bank on the right-hand side of the entrance
🌱 Landscaping on the opposite side to enhance the area

We’ve already secured some Fairy Houses and a bee hotel, which are currently still being built and will be added once ready.

💫 Can you help grow the Fairy Village?
If any residents would like to donate a Fairy House, please contact any member of the Cherrybrook Residents Association or our Chairman:

📞 Michael Farrelly – 087 794 6121

Thank you all for your fantastic support throughout 2025. We wish everyone in Cherrybrook a very happy and prosperous 2026! 🎉

🚰 Important Update for Ardee Residents 🚧

Uisce Éireann has confirmed that works will begin next week to replace 670 metres of ageing water mains on John Street and the N2 Drogheda Road, Ardee as part of its national Leakage Reduction Programme.

✅ The project will:
• Reduce leaks and bursts
• Improve water supply reliability for homes & businesses
• Support future growth in the town

👷 Works on John Street: 7am–7pm (Mon–Fri)
🌙 Works on N2 Drogheda Road: 7pm–7am (Mon–Fri, night works)

Access to businesses and homes will be maintained, though some lane closures and traffic management will be in place.

Uisce Éireann thanks the Ardee community for their patience while this vital project, expected to finish in early 2026, is carried out.

Since 2018, over €500m has been invested nationally in leakage reduction, with €250m committed every year until 2030.

💧 A stronger, more reliable water supply is on the way for Ardee!

Cherrybrook Residents please note

As a consequence of inconsiderate parking residents rubbish bins were not collected by the bin company. Because of this parking they were unable to access the roads to the residents properties. Residents are paying for bin services and being directly affected.

This could have serious consequences if an ambulance or fire truck were to be blocked in the future.

🚨 Ardee Water Pipe Bursts – Cherrybrook Residents Demand Action 🚨

Once again, the residents of Cherrybrook and surrounding areas are left without water due to yet another burst pipe. This is becoming an all-too-familiar story – every couple of weeks we face the same cycle of disruption and frustration:

💧 No water supply for families, schools, and businesses
🚦 Traffic chaos caused by emergency repair works
🥤 Shortage of bottled water in local shops
♻️ More plastic waste as households are forced to buy water
🚶‍♂️ Poorly repaired footpaths and roads left behind, creating hazards

This is more than just an inconvenience – access to clean, reliable water is a basic human right.

We, the residents of Cherrybrook, are calling on our local Councillors and TDs to step up and demand urgent action. The people of Ardee cannot be expected to live with constant water shortages, waste, and unsafe infrastructure.

👉 It’s time for a proper, long-term solution – not yet another “patch-up job” that fails within weeks.

✊ Cherrybrook deserves better. Ardee deserves better. It’s time our voices were heard.
