County Louth Archaeological and Historical Society To further these aims, the Society holds lectures and outings during the year and publishes an annual Journal which is distributed to members.

Founded in Dundalk in 1903, the Society's main objects are to preserve, examine and illustrate all ancient monuments, memorials and documents of County Louth and adjoining districts, to study the arts, manners and customs of the past to which these monuments belong, to find out all that is ascertainable about the archaeology and history of the area and to assist the museums in the County, and the

County Archive, to discharge their functions. Membership is open to all. The annual subscription is €20.00, payable for each calendar year. For payment methods available, see 'Membership' tab on our website. The Society is registered with the Charities Regulator - No. 20003777
