You'll also get a QR code that gives you the video link to learn more about the women and their hope for the future

Next week, ActionAid Ireland is hosting a photography exhibition in collaboration with Flux Studios: Meet Them is a celebration of lone parents who have experienced the Direct Provision system.

The exhibition will run over 14, 15 and 16 of January 2026, from 12noon to 6pm.

The exhibition features six women who are part of Paving the Way, an ActionAid Ireland project.

Photographed by Beta Bajgart, each portrait reflects how the women chose to be seen, with the accompanying guide written by the women themselves.

There is a great deal of public conversation about migration in Ireland, but too often it is framed through statistics, policy debates and soundbites, rather than through people’s lived experiences. This exhibition is a response to that absence. Through Meet Them, each of the women tell their own stories, on their own terms.

Are you planning to visit the exhibition?
