The ambitious plans were announced last October, but now the fundraising efforts must start in earnest if the Moneymore Townland Community Hub is to become a reality.

The Moneymore Townland Community Hub is a consortium of representatives from local organisations, agencies and volunteers. In 2018, local agencies based in Moneymore came together due to the growing need for space to deliver frontline services and the need to progress the provision of a Community Hub to serve residents of the Moneymore townland, Drogheda and its wider environs. The hub will consist of a community centre that will house the Connect Family Resource Centre, Cable Youth Diversion Project, Moneymore Afterschool Club as well as a Communal Sports/Multi use space and a Community Cafe with access to internet, printing and IT supports.
The need for this Community Hub is even more urgent now with the significant expansion in housebuilding on the Northside of Drogheda. This centre will ensure that individuals and families who avail the services have access to a wide range of early intervention, strengths based, wraparound supports for all age groups under one roof with ' No Wrong Door' policy.
We also have the full support of the Dept of Justice, Dept of Community & Rural Development and the Drogheda Implementation Board as the progression of this community centre is also one of the actions of the Vivian Geiran Report: Action 4.1
