Migrant Women Research: Participants Needed

Are you interested in the migrant woman experience here in Budapest? Mira Haz is running an action research project to explore the mental health challenges amongst the migrant women community here in Budapest. Our research will result in a funded action to improve the lives of international women in Budapest.

We are looking for participants aged 20-45 who do not hold Hungarian citizenship and are currently living in Budapest for a focus group where we will meet and share our experiences.

There are 3 dates and times available:
-Monday 22nd June: 6 pm
-Sunday 28th June: 4 pm
-Sunday 29th June: 6 pm

Each meeting will be approximately 2 hours long, and as gratitude for your contribution, we can offer you 1 free session with a professional psychologist.

Our research is part of a bigger project which aims to give migrant women a louder voice in Budapest. Let’s try to make a positive change together!

🗣️☕ Another great English Discussion session filled with conversations and new connections!

Last Sunday, participants came together to practice their English while discussing everyday topics such as saving money versus enjoying life, daily routines, work–life balance, and time management. The session offered a relaxed and welcoming space where everyone could share their thoughts, learn from different perspectives, and build confidence in speaking English,

A day of culture, connection, and delicious food at our Dankó Cooking-Traditional Kabab Degi gathering!

Participants came together to learn new cooking techniques, and enjoy the rich flavors of a traditional intercultural Kabab Degi. From preparing ingredients to enjoying the final dish, the event was filled with teamwork, laughter, and meaningful cultural exchange.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this experience so special. Food has a unique way of bringing people together, and this gathering was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, tradition, and shared meals.

🎨🍓 Creativity was in full bloom at our Art Class!

Together, we painted a strawberry, exploring its freshness, softness, and juicy texture through color and brushstrokes. Step by step, participants brought their artwork to life while enjoying a relaxed, inspiring, and supportive atmosphere.

It was wonderful to see both beginners and experienced artists expressing their creativity and discovering new painting techniques. Every canvas turned into a unique masterpiece, proving that with a little guidance and imagination, anyone can create beautiful art.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their creativity, enthusiasm, and positive energy. We can’t wait to see you at our next art session!
