【Run for Love! 2026 End Polio Charity Walk & Run 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️】

By 25 Oct 2026, the "2026 End Polio Charity Walk & Run," jointly led by 8 Rotary Clubs in Macau (Rotary International District 3450, Area 1), has successfully concluded. This event aimed to unite the community to contribute to global children's health, running with love to end polio.

Reservoir is so beautiful and friendly for beginners to join the walkerthon.

Event Highlights:
* Dual-Track Events: Starting at Hac Sa Reservoir Country Park, the event featured an 8km run and a 3km walk, allowing participants of all fitness levels to join the charitable cause.

* Guests Gathered: Distinguished guests and club representatives attended the starting ribbon-cutting ceremony to cheer on the runners.

* Enthusiastic Participation: Even under the scorching sun, numerous participants kept their passionate charitable spirit alive, successfully completing the event in their red themed T-shirts.

Our President, Felex, also traveled to Macau in person to support the local Club Presidents. This action practically demonstrated and witnessed the true, enthusiastic friendship created by Rotary with every visit to Macau.

As a lack of exercise people, P Felex get back with joy and satisfaction on his face when back. Can’t wait more hiking activities. He certainly will arrange one fellowship after that. Action aloud than speaks. Come and hiking with us in November

On October 24th, our Peninsula Sunrise family gathered at the stunning SOHO West waterfront for an unforgettable District New Membership Orientation! 🌊🥂

Accompanied by President Felex and PE Kelvinx, our fantastic new members, Sara and Albert, officially dived into the broader Rotary world. 💙 We were deeply inspired by DG Jimmy and fellow Rotary leaders, whose powerful sharing sparked brilliant ideas on shaping our future Rotary paths and building a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for new faces. 🤝💡
The day was the perfect blend of purposeful discussion and genuine fellowship. Before wrapping up, we soaked in a breathtaking sunset right outside Zoie Seafood & Grill, finishing the night with a cozy, mouth-watering seafood dinner. 🌇🦞

✨ What an incredible night of fellowship and inspiration!

Our 1447th meeting on October 21st was packed with energy, visiting club leaders, and a truly moving keynote from our guest speaker, PP Adrian. He shared deeply personal reflections on his Rotarian journey, reminding us of our core values—integrity, diversity, and mastering the balance between family, career, and Rotary. (Fun fact: PP Adrian won Best President the very same year our own PP Joann served as his Assistant Governor!)

President Felex, we charted our upcoming operational plans and opened the floor for visiting Presidents to pitch their signature projects. Peninsula Sunrise is always eager to partner on meaningful community initiatives! We wrapped up the evening with roaring applause and joyous October birthday cheers for PP Ed, PP Robin, and Celine. We truly are family! 💙

A joyful weekend! In addition to the morning training, we also had a dedicated service project in the afternoon.

PP Joann and Ben from the Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise traveled to Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island on October 17, 2026, to participate in the "Restoring Lamma Island Ocean Legacy" service project. The weather was perfect, and they enjoyed a highly meaningful and fun environmental activity under clear skies.

We at the Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise are very honored to be one of the co-organizing clubs. We have always believed that by combining different professional strengths, we can deeply contribute to the community through impactful service across various sectors.

Event Highlights and Fruitful Results
* A total of 40 Rotarians, friends, volunteers, and family members participated.

* The team worked together to clean over 1,000 pearl oyster shells.
* 60 kg of recycled oyster shells were successfully placed into net baskets and returned to the sea, providing a new home for green mussels, oysters, and other filter feeders.
* These shells have the potential to purify approximately 250,000 liters of seawater per day.
Profound Impact of the Service
* Creates habitats for marine life.
* Helps support and maintain biodiversity.
* Oyster shells effectively filter micro-algae and excess nutrients from seawater.
* Helps prevent algal blooms and eutrophication.

Thank you to PP Joann and Ben for your enthusiastic participation and hands-on support for environmental protection. In the future, the Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise will continue to embody the Rotary spirit and work together to help protect Hong Kong's marine ecology!

🌟 What a meaningful time at the “Protect Bones, Prevent Falls – Nutrition Together” Elderly Health Promotion Day, where we teamed up with District 3450 health team which is lead by Chair PP Issac and top medical professionals to provide expert seminars and health screenings for over 120 vibrant seniors!

We are proud of our IPP Ivy and Rotarian Ben, who brought their signature passion and commitment to the seminar by warmly welcoming participants at registration and cheerfully guiding them through grip strength and balance tests with endless smiles.

Thank you to all the organizing partners for this fantastic initiative, and cheers to our amazing Peninsula Sunrise members for always putting Service Above Self to keep our elderly community healthy, active, and safe! 💪👴👵✨

The 【"Deep" Inclusion: Promoting Inclusion in the Community Kick-off & Sharing Session - "How to Promote Disability Inclusion in the Community"】, initiated and organized by IPP Michael of our Rotaract Club of Peninsula Sunrise, has successfully concluded! 🎉

As the mother club, the Rotary Club of Peninsula Sunrise is incredibly proud of the drive and passion shown by our youth members. We are committed to driving cross-platform collaboration to create a greater impact. This event perfectly empowered our youth through vocational development and talent exploration. IPP Michael fully leveraged his strengths as a "Super Connector," perfectly embodying the Rotary spirit of "Connecting the World" and successfully uniting various sectors to promote public welfare.

Pen Sun’s 1446th meeting is in the books!

On 7 October 2026, we returned to our familiar venue: Yue Cuisine at the Hong Kong Scout Centre cm B P International. We were thrilled to welcome over 20 fellow Rotarians and guests! It was a true fiesta, filled with heartwarming friendship, casual laughter, and, of course, unforgettable, mouthwatering Cantonese dishes.

P Felex updated us on our club's progress and introduced upcoming club, district, and Rotary International activities. Afterward, we were delighted to have our fellow Rotarian, Albert, to share insights on “The Future of Music”. Albert shed light on four key concepts—occupation, industry, AI, and intellectual property—through three captivating music stories spanning from the Middle Ages to recent decades, ranging from Hong Kong to Europe. We also enjoyed a pop-up presentation from our dear guest, Choco, on body painting and children's education. Her sharing truly made us all feel young at heart! The meeting wrapped up with the final bell strike, followed by glasses of refined w**e.
