The Consulate General of the Philippines and Sentro Rizal Hong Kong warmly invite you to join the film screening of βπππ€ππ¦ππ’π§π’β.
Originally conceived as a full-length feature by luminary playwright Rody Vera, and initially directed by acclaimed Jeffrey Jeturian, young and award-winning director Arjanmar H. Rebeta, has transformed filmed footages into a meta-documentary narrative that combines historical drama with the voices of artists, historians, and descendants, as our heroine may have wanted, starring Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Paulo Avelino, the late Spanky Manikan and Ms. Gina Pareno.
Known as βLakambiniβ of the Katipunan but often overlooked in the chronicles and books of history, Gregoria de Jesus aka Oriang, emerges here not just as the wife of the Father of the Philippine Revolution but as a revolutionary in her own rightβa woman of courage and substance. And getting to know her through her βtatlong pag-ibigββAndres Bonifacio, Julio Nakpil, and Inang Bayanβthe film becomes not just her story, but ours too as Filipinos.
