Tea & Support is a friendly, relaxed group for people living with dementia and their carers, family and friends.

We meet on Tuesday mornings, 11am - 12.30pm at Lyppard Hub, the community centre on Warndon Villages, Worcester.

We all enjoyed decorating our cakes and biscuits with a spooky Halloween 🎃 👻 and sparkly firework 🎆 🎇 theme today.

Today we welcomed back Claire for some
wonderful 🎶 singing 🎶 for the brain, with a Remembrance Day 🌺 theme.

Today we wished Trish, our lovely volunteer a very Happy Birthday 🥳 for next week.
We also enjoyed some bowling today with Sue and Terry being our star 🌟 players this time.

We spent a lovely relaxed morning doing jigsaws today. 🧩.

As we head in to Autumn 🍂 we decided to get creative with some wonderful artwork today.

Today we helped Marie and our volunteer, Judy celebrate their birthdays. Thank you both for the lovely cakes. 🧁 We also had plenty of activities going on ... table tennis 🏓 , table football ⚽️ 🥅 and even a little pool table 🎱

We were delighted to be invited to the BBC Make a Difference Awards in Hereford, with our Community Projects Co-ordinator, Carolyn, and Community Projects Volunteer, Carole, attending on behalf of Lyppard Hub.

At Lyppard Hub, Carolyn and Carole provide a wonderful service to our local community, running a number of our community support projects, including our Tea & Support Dementia Café, Bereavement Café, Friday Fellas and Warm Hub. These groups provide friendship, support and a welcoming place for people to come together, helping to tackle loneliness and build stronger community connections.

The BBC Make a Difference Awards celebrate the truly inspiring people, volunteers and organisations across Herefordshire and Worcestershire who go above and beyond to make a positive difference in their communities.

It was a real pleasure to meet so many wonderful people who dedicate their time, energy and passion to helping make their communities better places to live. It was particularly lovely to see their hard work and commitment recognised and celebrated.

It was a fantastic evening and a privilege for Lyppard Hub to be part of it.

We'd like to congratulate everyone who was nominated and recognised for the incredible work they do – you truly are making a difference!
