Today saw the installation of a new mobile phone signal booster for Alfrick. The system provides coverage up to 3km (subject to line of sight).

This project is the result of Alfrick & Lulsley Parish Council working with the WCC Digital Infrastructure and Connectivity Team (who work with Wavemobile) to deliver a solution to improve phone signal in the village. They have given us use of the Booster for an initial 12 months.

Mobile phone signal has long been an issue the Parish Council has grappled with and Data from the River Severn Partnership’s Advanced Wireless Innovation Region project confirmed the area was a significant connectivity "not-spot."

We would like to thank Sasha and Robert from the Digital Infrastructure and Connectivity Team and also Jean and her Team at the Community Shop for helping make this all possible.

Update on Alfrick Court (C2065):
Highways have confirmed that work to replace all the existing 150mm pipe with a new 225mm pipe is scheduled to commence in July. They also plan to add a few extra gullies to help alleviate the carriageway flooding.

The Lengthsman will continue to carry out work in the meantime. We hope this scheduled work will finally resolve the site's almost constant flooding. We'll keep you updated.

Annual Parish Meeting 7th May. 6.30 at the village hall.
This meeting is held to allow Parishioners to learn what the PC has done over the previous year and to talk to parish councillors.
This meeting is immediately followed by the Parish Council's Annual Meeting - again a public meeting with some important matters on the agenda this time around. Including planning applications and proposals to improve telecommunications cover for the parish.
