The Priority Services Register is a free service provided by energy networks and suppliers to ensure extra help is available when you need it most.
It can help you with:
📲 Advance notice of planned power disruptions and priority updates if a power cut occurs.
🍽️ Alternative heating & cooking: Emergency support provided if your electricity or gas goes down.
🗨️ Accessible communications: Statements and safety info in large print, Braille, or audio formats.
👥 The option to nominate a trusted family member or carer to manage your account communications.
Who qualifies?
You can register if you:
👉 Have reached State Pension age
👉 Live with a disability or long-term health condition
👉 Rely on medical equipment at home (e.g., oxygen, stairlifts)
👉 Have young children (under 5) or are pregnant
👉 Are experiencing a temporary life change (e.g., recovery from surgery, bereavement)
