Please keep sending photos and info about your babies, we love to see them growing up - they are forever part of our NICU/TCU family.

This week we received a very generous donation from former NICU parents Tim and Emily Hill. Thank you so much!

Mum Ann contacted me to say

Danny-Phillip was born at 35 weeks at 15.55 in May 2022. He spent 3 days in NICU: I have diabetes and his blood sugar was low; he also had low calcium and low magnesium levels. all the nurses and other staff were lovely and looked after Danny-Phillip and me so well.

He is now 4, and is starting school in September!

Thank you to all the team ###

Mum Mia is running a 50 kilometre (31 miles) 😮ultra-marathon to raise funds on our behalf. 🥰Her story is below - if you would like to support her, please click on the Just Giving link below:

"On 5th September I will be running a 50k Ultramarathon to raise money for Worcester Neonatal and Transitional Care Units.

After going in for a scan at 32 weeks, Gracie was delivered within 24 hours, via an emergency C-section. She was very poorly when she was born but the team at the Neonatal unit were incredible. She would not be here today without them.

Not only did the staff care for Gracie but they helped us through the hardest time of our lives and taught us everything we needed to know.

The neonatal journey is not something you would wish on any parent and a world that you don’t know exists until you’re living it.

Leaving the hospital without our baby every night for 6 weeks was heart breaking but we were so lucky that she was in the best hands.

I want to do something to give back to the staff and also help other parents through their journey, all of the funds raised will go towards items that will benefit the unit, staff, parents and babies.

I have ran a marathon before in 2022 and said “absolutely never again!!!” so this will be a huge challenge. I will be running around Worcester & Malvern and will post the route prior, so any support and company on the day would be great! It’s only 10 park runs 😳😂

Thank you for reading and please donate to an amazing cause if you can 🙏🏻"
