Our popular Dog Cafe will be back on Thursday (8th October) — and all friendly dogs on leads are welcome.

Come along and catch up with friends, meet fellow dog lovers, and treat your furry best friend. Here's what's happening:

🐶 The Great Pup Quiz: Put your dog-themed trivia knowledge to the test. Starts at 1.30pm.
🍦 Doggy Treats and Ice Cream: Treat your four-legged family members to some dog-safe snacks.
☕ Treats for Humans: Enjoy tea, coffee and cake from our Buzzy-Bean Cafe while your pup socialises.

When: Thursdays from 12pm to 3pm
Where: The Old School Centre, New Road, Wootton Bridge.

No need to book — just drop on by with your well-behaved pups (on leads). We can't wait to see you and your wonderful dogs there!

🌟 Join us in creating change! 🌟

At The Old School Centre CIC, we know that change starts with people like you. Over the last two years we have been developing community inclusion through our Buzzy-Bean Cafe with free activities and a come-as-you-are welcoming environment. With afternoon quiz, morning Move and Stretch, our dog cafe, games, and warm space etc. running all day with no charge to participants has created a wonderful inclusive community.

Our dearest Maureen, our biggest supporter, who only ever missed a session if physically impossible to come, has sadly passed. Maureen inspired us to keep going when we had no resources left, saying "I really don't know what I'd do if I couldn't come here, I love this place". Maureen would stay all day gently completing jigsaws with her daughter Dorcas, chatting and smiling, always radiant in shades of pink! Maureen was, and remains, the essence of what the Buzzy-Bean is all about and she would, I'm sure, be delighted to know that the space can continue to thrive.

However, we are struggling financially as we get no external support and the centre can not continue to subsidise the cafe and activities due to the buildings increasing overheads. Any donations and financial support will go directly to keeping the inclusion cafe open and maintaining the space and activities that Maureen loved so much so that others can benefit and come on in to this open-hearted, joyful and welcoming space.
