Community Kitchen

We aim to be a family orientated community kitchen offering a free healthy meal once a week to anyone in the local community.

We want to grow an atmosphere of love and freedom within a broken, struggling society. We want to open our space, our lives and our kitchen to anyone within the local area, to encourage and build a spirit of friendship, community and mutual help - here in Binfield and Bracknell. Through a free meal every week, we desire to offer a little bit of relief or freedom to those families perhaps struggling financially or going through hard times. Through taking time to sit and eat with anyone who joins us, we want to stop people feeling lonely - even just for an hour each week. Through stopping and listening to each other, over a common meal, we want to bring back a sense of humanity into our lives. To be human with other humans. To have fun. To have a laugh. To enjoy food and good company in the middle of everyone’s busy lives. Through opening up our space, we want to offer a space for kids to play or be able to do homework when circumstances may be difficult at home.

We hope that this is just a start. A small step, with a bold vision, to stop our hectic lives, to listen to each other, to bring a sense of humanity and true community to our local area. To reverse some of the impact of financial, social or friendship poverty that we all experience in our broken system. Even just for half an hour each week.
