Our Story
Care in the Garden was founded in 2012 by John Goodenough and Gill Smith, from both having many years experience in care and horticulture, they wanted to provide a progressive service for any person with an extra support need.
When using our service, we look at the person and their abilities, once you walk through our front gate we bring down the barriers by developing equality through understanding.
We can come and do your garden with our friendly team or if you can no longer manage to garden on your own, perhaps you would like to come and join a gardening group at the Palmers Brook Community Nursery, in Park road, Wootton? Come and join a friendly group of people at the Nursery - Have a cup of tea and a natter and we'll help you pursue your once loved hobby in a safe and friendly enviroment.
We also offer a variety of basket and bedding plants, shrubs, perennials and can make up hanging baskets to order. Come and see our range of concrete and wooden garden products made by the local community.
Why not buy one of our speciality bird boxes? Have your feathered friends living in luxury!
The ethos of the company is to involve all trainees in the development of our products and services. The best ideas come from those with a quiet voice.
