A little while ago we were kindly gifted some lovely cups from Suzie at and we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. 💛

They’ve already come in handy for our hot (and cold!) drinks before heading off on our group walks, and each one has a little mood-boosting quote on it too.

A big thank you to Suzie for thinking of us and supporting our community — they’ll definitely get plenty of use. ✨ ☕️

Today’s Dead Mums Club meet-up at Quarr Abbey was exactly what so many of us needed 💛☀️

We were lucky with such beautiful sunshine today 🌞 which made our walk from the abbey towards Ryde and down to the beach 🌊 even more special. After the walk we headed back for coffee ☕🍰 and lots more chatting. It was so lovely to welcome a couple of new faces and some first-timers too 🤍

There’s something really comforting about being with people who just get it — no pressure, no judgement, just support, understanding, laughter, memories and honest conversation 🫶

Keep an eye out for details of our next meet-up 👀 We’re keen to meet in different places all over the island to make things as accessible as possible for everyone, so please send over any suggestions for future locations 📍💬

There’s something quietly powerful about coming together in both joy and grief 🤍

Losing your mum leaves a space that never quite fills — a piece of you that feels missing, even as life continues to move forward around you. And yet, here we are. Still showing up. Still taking each day as it comes 🌿

This group began with Jamie and I — finding solace in each other’s friendship and shared grief 🤝 In the moments where words were hard to find, there was comfort in simply being understood. From that, something gentle grew — a wish to hold that same kind of space for other women walking this path 🤍

Because we don’t have to choose between grief and joy. They can sit side by side. We can laugh, share, remember, and still carry the ache — and that’s okay ✨

If today feels heavy, you’re not alone. If today feels lighter, that’s okay too. Every step forward, no matter how small, is something worth recognising 🌼

Be proud of yourself for getting through the day. For putting one foot in front of the other 👣 For finding your way in a life that looks different now.

Join us tomorrow for our second meet up ❤️
Quarr Abbey 10:30am for an 11:00am start to our walk.

Dead Mums Club – Second meet up countdown 🤍✨

Okay… slight apology incoming 🙈
Life has been a lot lately — busy mums, busy schedules, and not nearly enough hours in the day — so posting has taken a bit of a back seat. But please know… we’re still here 💛 always here.

And with that… a reminder that our second meet up is coming up 🫶

📍 We’ll be meeting this Saturday at 10:30am (for an 11:00am start) at the main car park at Quarr Abbey.
Look out for the pink and white transporter, that’s where we’ll be hanging out.

We’ll take a gentle walk along the accessible route towards Ryde, turn back on ourselves, and head back towards the abbey.

☕🍰 Afterwards, if you’d like, we’ll grab a cuppa and cake and keep the chats going.

This is a no pressure, no expectations, no experts kind of space — just us.
Women in the same boat, coming together, however that looks on the day 🤍

Whether you want to talk, listen, or just be… you are so welcome here. 🧡

See you soon.
Anna and Jamie x

Some days the “gone” feels much louder than the “strong,” but then I remember how she raised me. She didn’t just build me for the easy days; she built me for these days, too. 🕯️
Thinking of everyone in this club who is out there making their mums proud, even when it’s hard. You’re doing a great job. ✨

DATE CORRECTION!
Apologies for the change up - we’re just keeping you on your toes! 😅

Dead Mums Club Isle of Wight 🤍

Our last walk was such a lovely one — thank you to everyone who came along, it really meant a lot 🫶

So… we’re doing it again! 🍃

SATURDAY 9th of MAY

This time we’ll be walking from Quarr Abbey towards Ryde and back again. We’ll head to binstead church and maybe go a little further before turning back on ourselves.

It’s an easy, gentle couple of miles there and back — perfect for a catch-up, a bit of fresh air, and being around women who just get it.

There’s no pressure to talk the whole way — some of us chat, some of us walk quietly, and both are completely okay 🤍

And for anyone who wants to extend the chats… we’ll be heading back to the Abbey café afterwards for a well deserved cuppa and piece of cake ☕🍰

📍 Quarr Abbey → Ryde → Quarr Abbey
🚶‍♀️ Approx walking time: 1 hour

We’d love to see you again, and hopefully we’ll see a few new faces too. Come along if it feels right for you — you’ll always be welcome.

Love Jamie and Anna x

Today meant so much 🤍

Thank you to every single person who came along to our very first Dead Mums Club Isle of Wight meet up today! We are so incredibly grateful you showed up, shared space with us, and made it what it was.

We know that for some of you, coming today may have felt a little daunting — and truthfully, we felt that too. It’s never easy walking into something new, especially something so personal, so thank you.

We truly hope it felt like a safe and supportive space for those who needed it, and that you were able to take something positive away from the walk — no matter how big or small.

A special thank you to the team at for kindly sponsoring us and providing the amazing cups and stickers, and again a special thank you to for the design - your support means so much to us.

We’re already looking forward to the next meet up 🤍
If you have any suggestions for locations or ideas, we’d really love to hear them.

Until next time ✨ 🍃

Anna & Jamie 💛
