🌟 A Fantastic Day Out in Telford Centre 🌟

Our members had a brilliant day exploring Telford! 💙 After arriving as a group, everyone enjoyed some valuable 1:1 time with their support workers, choosing their own activities and enjoying some independence.

From bouncing at Flip Out Telford 🤸 to shopping 🛍️, we packed lots of fun into the day before coming back together for lunch!

Here are some highlights from a fantastic day of fun, choice and making memories! 🥰

🌿🌸 A lovely visit to Wm. Wheat & Son Florist, Garden Centre & Cafe! 🌸🌿

Last week, we enjoyed exploring Wheat and Sons Garden Centre! 🌱 We had a wonderful time looking around at the fantastic variety of plants and taking in all the lovely sights.

After our exploring, we headed to the kitchen to enjoy a warm drink ☕, with a fantastic view overlooking the duck pond 🦆. The perfect way to relax and enjoy our visit!

It was a new place for us to discover, and we all had a lovely time. We’re already looking forward to returning for another visit! 💚

🍝 National Pasta Day at Next Step! 🍝

Over the weekend it was National Pasta Day, so we celebrated in the way we know best – by getting busy in the kitchen! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Our members helped prepare a yummy pasta bake for Monday’s lunch, with a choice of chicken or vegetable pasta bake, served with fresh salad and garlic bread. 😋

A delicious way to start the week, with plenty of teamwork, life skills and tasty food along the way! ❤️

Yummy! 🍝🥗🧄

🌳🍂 Fresh Air, Fun & Friendship at East Park! 🎠😊

We had a fantastic time visiting East Park Wolverhampton (Official). We enjoyed a lovely walk in the fresh air, taking in our surroundings, before heading to the playground for some fun and laughter. 🛝🌿

Getting out and about is such an important part of our activity programme, giving everyone opportunities to stay active, explore new places and enjoy experiences together. We’re always looking for ways to make the most of our time outdoors! 💚

Another lovely day making memories with friends! 🥰

🎃☕ Halloween Treats at Green Park School👻🍫

Yesterday we had a fantastic time visiting our friends at Green Park School for their Halloween Deals on Wheels service! 🧡

We loved choosing our own yummy hot chocolate kits and chocolate spoons, practising our independence as we selected and paid for our treats ourselves. 🛍️👏

But the best part came when we returned to church and turned our goodies into delicious hot chocolates! ☕😋 The perfect way to enjoy our Halloween treats!

It was especially lovely for some of our members to return to Green Park, revisit their old school and catch up with familiar teachers. ❤️

A wonderful day full of tasty treats, happy memories and lots of smiles! 😊🎃

A huge thank you to everyone at Green Park School for making us feel so welcome! 🧡

🚌 A Journey Through Transport History! 🚍

Recently we had a brilliant time visiting Aldridge Transport Museum! We loved exploring all the wonderful old vehicles that have been lovingly restored and cared for. One of our favourite parts was being able to climb aboard the different buses and discover how they have changed over the years. 🚌✨

Our visit was made extra special by the fantastic volunteers, Cameron and Jake, who were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, sharing their knowledge and bringing the history of the vehicles to life. A huge thank you to them for making our visit so enjoyable! 😊

Another fantastic day out, making memories, learning something new and enjoying experiences together! ❤️

🍰 Happy National Dessert Day! 🍰

We love a dessert here at Next Step — and, to be honest, we don’t really need a special day to celebrate them! 😋

But as it’s National Dessert Day, here’s a look back at some of the delicious treats we’ve made recently. From Malteser cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake to rocky road and apple crumble, we love them all! 🍫🍎🍰

Which one would you choose? 👀

Happy National Dessert Day everyone! ❤️

💙 Our Programme, Our Choices! 💙

Here at Next Step, we run a person-centred programme of activities, with our members at the heart of the decisions. 🥰

Our members help choose what we do, giving everyone opportunities to make choices, try new things and enjoy activities that are meaningful to them.

We make our programme accessible using different forms of communication, including signs and Widget symbols, helping everyone understand what’s coming up and make their choices. 🖐️🧩

Because when everyone has a voice, everyone can have a choice! 💙

🌱💜 Planting for a Polio-Free World 💜🌱

Last week we joined forces with Rotary Club of Wolverhampton and the Wolverhampton Mayor at Bantock Park to plant crocus bulbs — a symbol of Rotary’s aim to eradicate polio worldwide. 🌍

We donned our boots, grabbed our gardening equipment and got digging! 🥾🧤🌱

It was fantastic to be part of such a meaningful community project and to play our small part in supporting such an important global cause. 💜
We can’t wait to see the crocuses popping up! 🌸 As a reward for our efforts it was great to be given a wonderful colouring book from Wolverhampton Fair Traid. Thank you 😊
