The support available in Wolverhampton for people at risk of homelessness is being highlighted on the run up to World Homeless Day.
City of Wolverhampton Council and its partners are marking the day on Saturday(10) with joint working and awareness raising events, as well as letting people know of the support available for them all year round.

A big thank you to Jolly Catering who generously supplied today's food service for 120 people.

Some of the family from Jolly Catering also joined our regular volunteers to help serve the meal in memory of their father.

Have you picked up one of our Good Shepherd tote bags yet? 👜

It celebrates artwork created through our Art Recovery Group. The design features Therapeutic Markmaking by Sally Rowley.

Sally attended our art sessions for two years as part of her own recovery journey. She developed this piece both within the group and during her cancer treatment at New Cross Hospital, and it now features on this special tote bag.

Sally sadly passed away last year and her absence is still felt by many. She was not only a talented artist, but a deeply kind and wonderful person who was loved by the art community.

If you haven't already picked up a bag from one our recent art exhibitions, you can purchase them at the Queen's Building in Central Community Shop and Pomegranate Cafe, at G5 Studio in Wolverhampton Arts Centre and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. All profits are donated back to Good Shepherd.

💙 A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Friday Lates takeover at Wolverhampton Art Gallery last week.

It was great to see so many people and families getting involved in the creative activities throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who made the event possible, and to the artists in recovery who shared their work created through our Arts Council England funded workshops, mentoring programme and creative drop-in sessions.

What a wonderful way to round-off Recovery Month and celebrate the role art plays in the recovery journey 💜
