🍞 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Collections Team 🍞
Witney Food Revolution is looking for ongoing weekday volunteers to help with collections at 4pm and/or 5pm.

✅ No car needed
✅ Training provided
✅ Commit to one day a week, or as many as you like — whatever works for you

Every collection helps us fill the shelves before our community fridge opens, making sure good food reaches people who need it, not the bin.

If you've got an hour or two spare on a weekday afternoon, we'd love to have you on the team.

🍉 Melon madness!
We've got melons coming in from everywhere at the moment... perfect for these hot days! ☀️

Quick tips:
🍈 Whole melons are happiest on the kitchen counter until ripe, then pop them in the fridge for up to a week.
🔪 Once cut, keep them in the fridge and enjoy within 3–4 days.

If your melon goes a bit soft or "pasty", it's usually just because it's become overripe or has been sitting a little too long after being cut. It's still perfectly safe to eat. 😃 It's just at its best when it's crisp, juicy and ice cold!

The Leys is such a happening spot these days!☀️
Loads of people were out enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon, including us! A group of WFR volunteers got together for a picnic, played a few games and, because we just can’t switch off, we somehow ended up distributing loads of cold drinks to passers-by.

A very lovely way to spend a Sunday. 💛

Like many of our volunteers, Linda wears a lot of hats!
She's our Deputy Larder Manager, Secretary, a member of our Management Committee, and coordinates all of our volunteer training.

Always full of heart (and the one who keeps us all in check!), Linda's been volunteering with WFR for 4½ years.
