🎃👻 Spooky Halloween Fun! 🕷️🧡

Our little ones have been getting creative with some Halloween-themed arts and crafts at Minster Lovell Baby & Toddler Group!

Using colourful stickers to decorate felt Halloween shapes, the children enjoyed peeling, sticking and creating their own spooky masterpieces! 🎨✨

Such a simple but lovely activity, helping to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while encouraging creativity and independence.

Lots of little fingers working hard and plenty of Halloween fun! 🎃🧡

Have a lovely half term and see you on Friday 6th November.

🍂🦊 Autumn adventures at our sensory table! 🍄🍁

Our little explorers had lots of fun discovering all things autumn at this morning’s sensory table!

From colourful pumpkins and autumn leaves to pine cones, woodland animals and little toadstools, there was plenty to investigate!

The children enjoyed using tweezers, scoops and little pots to pick up, sort and collect their autumn treasures, helping to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration.

The different textures, colours and woodland creatures also encouraged curiosity, imaginative play and lots of lovely opportunities for learning through play.

🍁 So much learning happening whilst having fun! 🧡

This morning the children enjoyed decorating their own autumn hedgehogs using colourful felt leaf stickers.

As well as being lots of fun, activities like this help little ones develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while encouraging creativity and allowing them to make their own choices.

A lovely way to explore the colours and textures of autumn together. 🍁🍂 Next week we will be continuing with the Autumn theme with our Autumn sensory table.

Our little ones have been busy exploring our construction digger sensory table! 🏗️

Sensory play like this is a fantastic way for toddlers to learn through hands-on exploration. As they scoop, dig, pour and move the materials around, they are developing fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and social skills.

Our reading tent has also been a favourite — enjoyed by our little ones and even one of our lovely grannies! ❤️📖 It was lovely to see the tent being enjoyed by all ages and creating a cosy space to share a story together.

The first sensory table session went down a treat. Lots of practise scooping up tiny stones and sorting pom poms into groups of colours. Next week the sensory table theme will be 🏗️ Construction🦺

17/09/2026

Tomorrow we will be trying out one of our new sensory table activities. Tomorrow’s theme is 🌈 rainbow colours! This is a great opportunity to give your child a hands-on way to explore different textures, sights and sometimes even sounds that support early childhood development.

Please can I ask that you stay with your child while they are at the sensory table as there are some small parts and I also would like to keep all the sensory pieces in one place and not mixed up with other toys.

Thank you 😊
