It’s 1660 and King Charles II is displaying a love of all things loud, extravagant and sexy.

At Drury Lane, a young Nell Gwynn is causing stirrings amongst the theatregoers.

Jessica Swale’s exhilarating play charts the rise of an unlikely heroine, from her roots in Coal Yard Alley to her success as Britain's most celebrated actress, and her hard-won place in the heart of the King.

At a time when women are second-class citizens, can her charm and spirit protect her from the dangers of the Court?

Auditions for Windsor Theatre Guild’s production of Nell Gwynn will be held on Tuesday 24th March & Thursday 26th March
from 20:00 to 22:00.

Ahead of opening night, we wanted to showcase a note from the director of our upcoming production 'Going Postal' - Will Davidson🖊

Bursting with character and mystery, and laced with Pratchett's trademark wit, satire and heart, Going Postal and its story of Moist Von Lipwig, the conman with a heart of gold (ish) struggling against the cunning Reacher Gilt is a tale I have long wanted to stage.✨️

Its story of everyday people standing together against the monopolistic Clacks Company resonates greatly in a time when many powerful entities treat people as an inconvenience to be jettisoned the moment a shiny bauble arrives with honeyed lies of 'greater efficiency.' 🎭

With its diverse cast of wonderfully eccentric and multi-layered characters, Going Postal is, in my mind, a perfect showcase for the Guild's talent, and has been a wonderful experience to direct. This is my WTG debut and has been an absolute delight. My thanks to the incredible cast, crew and wider membership of the Guild who have all been incredibly welcoming, supportive and enthusiastic.

Enjoy the show and remember... "All The Disc's a stage!"✨️
