We still urgently need homes for rabbits! Whether permanent or foster homes! We particularly need to empty the nursery so we can get Daenerys and all her babies in there asap.

That means that Izzles' 14 wk old babies are currently available for immediate foster, foster to adopt or for adoption on strict neuter contracts.

Morning 😑

Look at the lovely gift the new girl left us this morning 😑

As beautiful as they are, I had really hoped to have more time to get her well before this happened. There's at least 6 too (I'll do a full count when back from the vet run I'm on) bringing the total to at least 10 including the ones she's already feeding. I will only separate the older buns from mum if absolutely necessary as they'll only be approximately 30 days old if this new litter are full term.

After closing our doors due to lack of funds and space we've had to come out to an anonymous welfare hand over. We just couldn't say no when we saw the absolute state she's in.

A sweet little girl has been forced to give birth month after month after month while living in a literal hole in the ground. Not only is this all white (supposed to be) bunny grey, yellow, brown, black and matted with all kinds of filth but she is extremely thin too. Reports are that she has not been fed regularly or adequately which shows so much in her frail little body.

We suspect that she is again carrying a litter but we can't emergency spay her for a number of reasons. Not least of these being her frail condition and the fact that she is still trying to feed her most recent litter that have, of course, had to come in with her. A litter of babies that are the thinnest babies we've ever witnessed alive and active.

Due to the nature of her hand over, we're not currently comfortable showing full photos of her so have just cropped a few for now to show how dirty she is. What's extra sad but sweet is that her babies are perfectly clean because of her. She's been looking after them beautifully while she herself was only neglected.

We need to get weight on her as quickly but safely as possible before she has her suspected next litter or she may not be able to feed them or even survive the ordeal without help to feed them. With funds at rock bottom please consider helping us by purchasing items from our amazon wishlist and/or contributing via PayPal or bank transfer.
Apart from the one bag of adult nuggets we'd also love help with, everything on the list is required to get the calories and extra nutrients she needs into her little body as safely as possible.

Please keep her in your thoughts as we do our best to get her and her babies healthy enough to thrive and have a wonderful future.

We have named her Daenerys, mother of bunnies and her babies will receive dragon names. A little maternal warrior like her deserves the name to match.

The sooner we can get him neutered so his hormones can subside the sooner they can live hoppily ever after ❤️

Look who's ready to be adopted and bonded to a bunny friend all of her own!!

Roxi is looking for her furever home! She's an absolutely beautiful rex with the sweetest character. We can't guarantee her age but have estimated approximately 1 yr old.

Please get in touch if you'd like to arrange a home visit and meet-greet with her.
She is available alone for bonding purposes or we can pair her with another of our bunnies if you're interested but you don't currently have a partner for her. All bonding processes receive as much support as required with 24/7 access to CrazyRabbitLady via WhatsApp.

We're also still looking to raise some funds with which to compensate Roxi's foster mum who provided her emergency vet care at a cost of £400 plus her vaccinations. So far, £30 of this has been raised. Please consider helping out this lovely lady who took in Roxi at her hour of need. ❤️

Dusty (who we may rename to Sybil) is booked in on Monday for her spay and tooth burr 🥰

We didn't want to wait until our usual spay day as she's a bit of an urgent case. We also don't want to risk her having babies between now and then as 3 years of back to back breeding is quite enough for this poor girl to have endured.

Hi Everybunny!

An update on Dusty following her getting a thorough check over once she'd had time to decompress yesterday.

We'd noticed her bottom lip hanging a little while watching her settle in so suspected dental issues which would explain why she had such a dirty bum and was quite thin. On inspection we've found that she does indeed have dental disease that is causing discomfort. When a bunny has dental problems, they will often stop cleaning themselves and stop consuming their cecotropes. This, as well as causing the dirty bottom, can also cause weight loss/malnutrition even if they're otherwise eating well. Cecotropes are a very important part of the bunny digestive system.

If the pooey bum was what stopped her having further pregnancies rather than her having uterine issues, that's great! However, if, as is likely, we have to do an incisor removal, that's going to double our operation costs for these buns from an estimated £400 to approximately £800 in total! 😳😭

She's going to have the teeth burred and her spay ASAP which will be a minimum of £200 so if you're able to help with any amount towards this please consider a contribution via PayPal or bank transfer 🙏🙏🙏

If we can also raise an extra £130 we will be able to neuter her husbun, Basil to reduce the amount of time they're separated so 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞❤️❤️❤️

Hi Everybunny!

This is a reminder to go and check if your bunnies are clean! Not only can a bunny not cleaning itself properly indicate various illnesses/dental issues but it's also fly season! This little girl is extremely lucky to not have fly strike. Fly strike is NOT something you ever want to experience, it's the stuff of nightmares!

Please don't hesitate to ask for help if your bunny needs a hand getting clean. We'd much rather someone admit to needing help with their animals than struggle to keep them healthy and safe. We also never name and shame so please don't worry just get in touch.

We've removed the clogged dirt from her bum but it's a bit stressful for them so we'll let them settle in before they get a full groom.
