We have formally cancelled Beauty and the Beast with ticketsource. Refunds should be returned withing the next week. Please DO NOT contact the The Solway Hall Whitehaven for information, any queries please direct them to us.

Due to the current closure of the Civic Hall for repairs and upgrades, we have had to take the difficult decision to postpone our production of Beauty and the Beast until January next year. In the meantime, we will be working on our annual concert which will now be in October and we will be doing another show in July next year so our amazing kids won't miss out on performing. Anyone who has bought tickets for Beauty and the Beast will be refunded and we will post on here when they go live for January. We are keeping the staff of the Civic in our thoughts and look forward to getting back in there with our productions. Thank you all for your understanding and patience. Xx

Our stars this week were Bethany and Sophia who quietly get on with rehearsals...always ready, always keen. Walter nominated himself and managed to sneak in the photo, he also enjoys coming to rehearsals to see everyone x

Bobby, Rosa, Isabella and Enya were our stars this week. They all performed in the Whitehaven Theatre Group production of Sweeney Todd last week. We love it when our members move on to the adult group, and they had a blast x

Tonight was the first rehearsal in our new premises which was very exciting. Our Star of the week is Andrew who has put many hours in attending meetings, planning, moving everything from Haig, setting up the sound etc...etc... We are all very appreciative of everything he's done to get us to where we are today. Thank you xx

Our four amazing nominees at District 10 NODA Awards on Saturday. We are so proud of William who was nominated and of Jasmine, Bobby and Rosa who went on to win their categories to go onto the awards in Manchester in May. So much talent in one room all brought together by our rep Jim Morgan and fantastically photographed by Dave Wilson.

We're not very good at putting our "Stars" on each week, so here's a photo dump of the recent weeks. Stanley and Telf for working so well together, our leavers 😔 Jasmine, Grace, Maya and Josh, Sienna for being very helpful to other members and last, but definitely least 😄 some of our weekly helpers who made themselves stars, Hayley, Ann, Harriet and Mandy couldn't do without them (but don't tell them I said that) x🌟
