ated Carers Coffee Pot here. A few years ago, 'Carers Coffee Pot' was set up to recognize and support how caring in the community can have an affect on each of the carers in the community. They support many individuals and their families and I felt their own well being and morale needed to be recognized and boosted.

New research from Carers Wales and Carers Scotland shows that millions of unpaid carers are cutting back on food and heating and turning to credit to cope with the extra costs of looking after loved ones. To explain what support is out there, Rip Off Britain's Louise Minchin joined BBC Morning Live....

When I am older
I might not remember
I might get confused
And I might lose my temper

And there may be times
When I don’t know your name
Because it’s been trapped,
Locked away in my brain

And though it will hurt
To think I could forget you
Offer me smiles,
Hold my hand if I’ll let you

And talk of adventures
We had long ago
Show me the photos
Of people I know

Play music we’ve danced to
And songs we have sung
Read me the books I read
When I was young

β€˜Cause your voice and your words
Might just be the key
That opens the door -
That unlocks it for me

And maybe the music
Will spark tiny embers
Of memories dormant
And I will remember

Your name and your face
And the words to our song
The times and the places
To which I’ve belonged

And it might last moments
Or minutes or more
As the fire sheds light
Through the crack in the door

But when the door closes
And gone are the flames
When you are once more
A stranger again

Just know you’ll have stirred something
Deep down inside
Something familiar
That I recognise

Something that’s real
That’s not stored in my head
But right at the core
Of my heart space instead

Something that’s stirred
By your smiles and your stories
The touch of your hand
And the songs you sing for me

And though I’ll have no words to tell you
Just trust
That deep down inside
I’ll remember
I’m loved

September is World Alzheimer's Month and today is World Alzheimer's Day, so I thought it was a poignant time to share this again.
Sending my love to anyone experiencing this right now - as a patient, as a carer, as a relative - as anyone affected by it.

This is going to help so many people- Asda has launched an affordable adaptive clothing range.

Over two years ago, our friend Nicky Newman made it her last wish to create an AFFORDABLE adaptive clothing range. Today we can say… It is finally a wish come true and what an incredible legacy to leave behind.

There are so many reasons why someone would want adaptive clothing, from needing to access ports, pegs, lines, catheters and bags. To making life easier when putting clothes on and taking them off. Nicky wanted the range to target as many people as possible at the same price as everyday clothing. That is why this range was designed, trialled and tested by disabled people, for disabled people.

We were so honoured to be asked by Nicky to be a part of the original focus group and even more honoured to have seen the outcome of this range, first hand. Hannah was literally BUZZING to be a model- especially in Nicky’s favourite jumper.

From Monday 15th September, you will be able to buy this incredible range online. This range focuses on comfy wear, with plastic zips (made especially for those pesky scanners in hospital), velcro, adjustable waists, secret holes and pockets. All starting from Β£11. This is a game changer.

Personally, we want to help Nicky’s legacy to grow and keep growing. To do that, we have to get the word out to everyone and anyone. You never know who this range will benefit. Asda want to hear your feedback. We want to hear your feedback.

Congratulations Nicky on your incredible Legacy. You did it.
Alex, you done her proud mate. X
Nicky’s friends and family, you are incredible.
We will be putting a behind the scenes video together and will be shouting about this until Monday. Sooooo set your reminders I guess!

It's been a while..... But I'm back!

Thank you for bearing with me whilst I took a step back from social media. Although the online presence wasn't very active, I have been very much present in real life - crafting heartfelt ceremonies and supporting my clients behind the scenes.
