Weymouth has been selected to pilot an amazing new Beach Access Project enabling more people to access the beach and get into the sea.

As a way of building on this, we are launching the Beyond the Beach Accessibility Audit whereby we will be working with local businesses to find out what they are already offering in terms of accessible services and facilities and linking them up with the globally recognized Snowball Accessibility App.

To do this, we are currently recruiting for volunteer Accessibility Ambassadors who will guide businesses through a quick 10 min checklist.

🏅 Marsh Sports Festival is tomorrow! 🏅

Join us on Sunday 20 September, from 10am–2pm, on the Marsh next to Moonfleet Bowls Centre.

Sports clubs from across Weymouth will be offering a free 15-minute taster sessions for adults and children, including basketball, tennis, golf, hockey, bowls, karate, boxing, volleyball, Thai boxing and gymnastics.

There will also be music and a BBQ supported by Friends Of The Marsh, Weymouth & Portland Lions Club and Westham Community Group. 🍔🌭

Please consider active travel to the event—walk, cycle or scoot if you can. It’s a great way to start an active day and will help reduce traffic around the Marsh. 🚶‍♀️🚲🛴

Come along, try something new and discover what our local sports clubs have to offer!

Thank you to everyone who came along to support and lend a helping hand to make Westham a little neater. We had a great evening in/around the cemetery on Abbotsbury Road 🚮❤️

We're so happy to bring another community event to the Marsh and wonderful Westham 👇👇👇

Spread the word and see you there!!!

After years of wishing to spread my passion in sport, I found the time to organise the…

MARSH SPORTS FESTIVAL!!!

It’s nothing too fancy. I’ve worked to bring together around 12 sports club from the community for 1 event. They’ll be a BBQ from Weymouth & Portland Lions Club, supported by Westham Community Group with music, and a chance to spend multiple 15-20min rounds, trying out something new.

It’s FREE for both adults and kids to experience a sport, meet local coaches - seeing if you might find that one sport that sets off the spark for a life long love of energy and activity.

Please share the message and encourage anyone you know that might be interested in a new sport, activity, or just wants to find a social group with healthy benefits.
