Weymouth & Portland Lions Club have, for the past 40 years, helped organse the spectacular and exciting Weymouth Beach MotoCross in association with our friends from the Purbeck Motorcycle Club. We’ve been going 20 years and we pride ourselves in providing free entertainment to residents and visitors alike while raising money for local good causes. We try and introduce new features and build the event up every year. So come along and enjoy the free show, spend a little money at the stalls on the Esplanade –selling everything from specialist motocross kit to hot food, cockles, bakery goods, sweets, fudge etc. We also have a range of children’s rides and attractions to keep the whole family busy. We do all this with help from local businesses to build the course, create the jumps, ramps etc. and indeed to pay for the production of the programme and to provide publicity
But the great thing is it’s a free charity event open to anyone who cares to take a stroll down the Esplanade –and all proceeds go to local good causes!
