Meet our new Regional Commandant!

‼️NEW REGIONAL COMMANDANT‼️

HQAC have just announced the new appointment for the Regional Commandant for North Region.

Congratulations to Wg Cdr Steve Fry KVRM RD VR DL AFNI.

Speaking on their appointment:

“I’m hugely excited to build on the great work of Gp Capt Leeming and the team. It will be incredible to work alongside the permanent staff and fantastic adult volunteers who give so much of themselves for the nearly 10,000 cadets across the region. I can’t wait to get started and meet you all - hopefully at some camps this summer."

Attention all aspiring cyber specialists! You have just one week left to submit your applications for the prestigious Gold Cyber Courses. If you're looking to take your digital skills to the elite level, now is the time to act.

📅 The Deadline
Applications must be submitted by 2359hrs on 30 March 2026. Don't leave it until the final minute - get those forms in now!

✅ Are you eligible?
To apply for a Gold space, you must meet the following criteria:

• Age: You must be at least 16 years old by the date the course starts.
• Prior Experience: You must have already completed the Silver Cyber Award OR the CyberFirst Defenders Course.

🗓️ Upcoming Course Dates
We have four slots available for the remainder of the year:
• August: 3 Courses available
• October: 1 Course available

UPDATE - The first class session on Tuesday 03 March has been cancelled, however, the session will be rearranged for Tuesday 17th March.

✈️ Are you working towards First Class or Leading Classification? 🎓

The Wing Training Team have arranged multiple classification sessions over the course of March. Each session will be delivered virtually using Microsoft Teams.

Sessions include:

The Air Training Corps - Second Class Cadet
The Royal Air Force - Second Class Cadet
Basic Radio - First Class Cadet
Initial Expedition Training - First Class Cadet
Principles of Flight - Leading Cadet
