Today our cadets took to the water in dinghies this weekend, learning how to rig, launch, and sail under their own power. From teamwork on the shore to handling the wind out at sea, every cadet showed determination and skill. A brilliant step forward in their sailing training.

🚢⚓ STEM in Action at Sea Cadets! ⚓🚢

Our Sea Cadets had an amazing time getting hands-on with STEM activities this week! From problem-solving challenges to engineering tasks, cadets worked together to explore science, technology, engineering, and maths in fun and practical ways.

These activities help build teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking — all important skills both on and off the water. It was great to see everyone getting involved, asking questions, and putting their ideas to the test.

A big well done to all the cadets who took part and showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the session! 👏

Huge congratulations to two of our amazing members for their fantastic achievements! 👏🎉

First, a big well done to our junior cadet who has worked incredibly hard to achieve her Junior Cadet First Class rank. This is a brilliant milestone that shows dedication, commitment, and great progress in her cadet journey. We are all very proud of what she has accomplished and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and succeed.

We would also like to recognise one of our dedicated staff members who has reached his 6 Year Service Award. Thank you for six years of commitment, support, and leadership within the unit. Your time, effort, and guidance make a huge difference to our cadets and the wider team.
