WOW! What a day!

Six of our Pony Club riders, aged 11–13, passed their C Test today. Huge congratulations to Phoebe, Roxy, Mathilda, Ellie Mai, Florence and Tilly!

The Pony Club C Test is a great milestone. Riders need to demonstrate their ability to ride on the flat in walk, trot and canter, trot without stirrups and jump a small fence in canter. They also need to show a good understanding of horse care, tack, safety and riding in the countryside.

Working towards tests and attending our Pony Club badge sessions are brilliant ways to build knowledge, develop riding skills and, most importantly, improve the partnership between horse and rider.

Well done, girls. You’ve worked hard for this achievement, so be proud of yourselves!

Keep going — C+ next!.

Neigh-ver forget! 🐴⏰
The clocks go BACK tonight/tomorrow Sunday 25th October at 2am!
One extra hour in bed for you... zero understanding from your horse, who’ll still be kicking the stable door at breakfast time 😂
Darker evenings are coming, so dig out those head torches and hi-vis! 🔦

Who needs a whiteboard when you have a pony?!

Our Alternative Provision (AP) learners have been getting hands-on with their learning as part of the British Horse Society’s Changing Lives through Horses (CLtH) programme.

Working towards their Silver Award, the children explored the equine digestive tract and organs, using chalk to draw and label the digestive system directly onto one of our yard ponies!

A fun, practical way to bring their learning to life, develop their understanding of horse care and anatomy, and build confidence through working with horses.

At RAC Saddle Club, we love seeing our AP learners engaging with learning in different ways, discovering new skills and celebrating their achievements.

Well done to everyone involved!
