Our Great Big Walk for Herts will raise funds for CHIPS and Future Living and is brought to you in partnership with Helping Herts who will match fund, that is DOUBLE, all money raised.

🦖 As hot summer days and the long summer holidays come to a close, everyone at CHIPS is looking back fondly on the fun we've had with CHIPS children this summer.

We've taken HUNDREDS of local children with often complex special needs and disabilities to the zoo, the park and the pool.

We've welcomed exotic and rare animals to our clubs, perfected our circus skills, cooked up a storm in the kitchen and invited mental health experts to meet our children too.

We've enjoyed ice creams and picnics, river swims and bubbles. And we've loved every single minute.

📸 These photos were taken when our Hertford SEND children visited the brilliant Hertfordshire Zoo.

CHIPS is a small, local East Herts and Broxbourne charity providing clubs, playschemes and magical days out for SEND children aged 3 to 19. We welcome their siblings and provide their amazing parents and carers some much needed respite.

✨ Our mission at CHIPS is simple: to ensure every single, local child with special educational needs and disabilities we help has a happy, safe and MAGICAL time with us.

SEND children with complex needs are often excluded from mainstream holiday clubs, birthday parties and playdates.

Not so at CHIPS. We welcome hundreds of SEND children right across East Herts and Broxbourne to our clubs, playschemes and days out.

Our clubs are full of fun, friends and memories and caring, qualified and specialist staff are on hand to fully support each child's needs.

We believe our clubs are very special places.

We recently welcomed our friend and party entertainer Sally Squiggle to our Cheshunt and Waltham Cross holiday club and the children had a blast with party games, dancing and parachute games.

CHIPS is a small, local charity helping to support more than 300 children with special educational needs and disabilities aged 3 to 19. We welcome their siblings to our clubs and also believe the respite we provide for parents and carers is vital to SEND families.

🎯 Children with often complex special educational needs and disabilities are at the heart of everything we do at CHIPS.

Some of these children are non verbal, others require one on one specialist care. Many have autism along with other complex needs meaning mainstream schools and clubs are unable to provide for their needs. Finding friends is tough.

🧡 We believe that every single one of the children we support deserves fun, sociable spaces where they feel safe and are fully supported by caring, expert staff. We provide respite for their parents and carers and welcome siblings.

We are a small and local charity providing clubs, playschemes and magical days out for SEND children in East Herts and Broxbourne. These clubs are designed for SEND children aged 3 to 19. And their siblings.

🌻 Congratulations to green-fingered Colin who has won this year's Townshend Street sunflower competition with over 100 blooms in his front garden.

We'd also like to say a big THANK YOU to Colin who generously donated his cash prize to CHIPS and our clubs and playschemes for local SEND children.

⛳️ At CHIPS we love nothing more than getting our teenagers with special educational needs and disabilities out and about, moving their bodies and mixing with their friends in the fresh air.

Our Teens Club had a great day playing mini golf at Putt Shots in Cheshunt recently and even scored a hole in one! Who knew we had such talented golfers at CHIPS?!

🥪 After 18 holes of mini golf fun in the sun, our teens enjoyed a delicious lunch in the café.

Mini golf is the perfect sport for our SEND teenagers. It's a low pressure, self paced game and everyone can play at their level.

Mini golf helps the children develop their hand to eye coordination, patience and focus, all while socialising with their friends and being cared for by our fully trained and caring CHIPS staff.

Our Teens Club is just one of the many clubs and playschemes CHIPS provides for SEND children in East Herts and Broxbourne.
