Our troop is expanding big time. We're expecting 25 Scouts in September, with 9 coming up from Cubs and 2 joining from another troop. Amazing!

Lots of exciting things in store including a night hike, troop camp, ready steady cook, climbing trip, water activities night, arts and crafts, teamwork games and problem solving.

Hunsdon Beavers brushed up their paddling skills on Tuesday. What a fabulous end of term trip they had. Thank you Kerry and team for taking them.

Anyone who could offer a bit of time to support the leader team would be very welcome. Why not come and have a chat. We always need some help with the admin (as well as the noisy jobs!) and it doesn't have to be every week.

Hunsdon Beavers are going on an end of term adventure tomorrow at ESSA Water Activities Centre.

How can you help us organise trips like this? Being a leader at Beavers is great fun and there's job to suit you all. You can book a trip, promote it, provide support to anyone who feels a bit anxious, or help us dunk the wet suits at the end! Best of all, it doesn't need to be every week - volunteering with us is flexible.

Despite the hot weather and a rather scary storm, our Cubs had a fantastic time at Thriftwood Scout Campsite! 🌞⛺⚡

When we got back, everyone enjoyed making posters to remember all the fun, adventures, and memories from camp. Well done, Cubs – you were brilliant throughout! 🐺💛

Inspired by Tara Carlisle Smith, co-founder of Freckleface, who spoke so brilliantly about kindness at yesterday's CRA Conference, we're adding a Kindness Corner to camp this weekend.

Cubs can pop by for a cool break from the heat, a chat with friends old and new, and the chance to make a friendship bracelet. Because a little kindness can make a big difference. 💙

What a lovely day for Hunsdon Scouts visit to ESSA. Have a great time and thank you to all the volunteers who do such an amazing job.

We have space in the troop at Hunsdon if anyone wants to join (10.5 to 14 yrs), and we're always looking for additional adult help too. Message us to arrange a trial session.
