We just want to take another moment to thank all those who have helped with the fishing peg project which we know will benefit the community for years to come.

Through hard work and dedication from the UVA committee, as well as support from groups who use our facilities, we are pleased to announce, we have recently received news we are receiving £13,246 from the North Lincolnshire Community Grants, specifically the Enhancing our Environment grant.

As this grant is a 90% funded grant, we needed to cover the remaining 10%. Lightrock Power have kindly offered to contribute £1,500 to cover our 10% contribution.

The project consists of fitting a 10kw Sigenergy Solar Inverter with 4 x 10kW of stackable batteries, to the existing solar system, giving a total of 40kW of battery power.

This means we can now store our solar energy that is generated through the day when the hall is empty for it to be used on evenings which is our primary times for use of the hall. We can also utilise cheaper electricity rates to top the battery up rather than expensive peak time rates.

By undertaking this project, it significantly reduces our reliance on grid energy, our carbon footprint and will reduce our operating costs so that we can maintain affordable facilities for the community.

We can’t wait to see this equipment up and running and the immediate benefits it brings

We just wanted to say thank you to Ulceby Co-op, Tesco Barton and others who donated generously the food and drinks for the recent bbq held for the volunteers helping install the new fishing pegs.

It’s great to see the community coming together to achieve great things for our village and continue growing our facilities for all to enjoy.

Ulceby village Association are pleased to announce we have an under 7's football team from Barton, who have signed up to use our facilities this season
