A big well done to our "guess the weight" winner🏆

As part of the carnival we had a game of guess the weight of a box of food.

The food parcel includes a 3 day supply of food including fruit, vegetables, breakfast items and a sweet treat amongst other items that can make a meal. This particular box is what is given to a single person 🍱

This lucky person was 0.3kg away from the true weight of 8.3kg

A huge well done and enjoy your prize 🎁

Wow, our 300th follower joined our Facebook community this afternoon!
We started this page in November last year; not really sure how it would go or if it would be successful.
It’s fair to say that it has been a great success and that is down to all of you that interact, comment, follow and support us.
Thank you from us all at Barton Area Food Bank.

It’s a busy Friday here at Barton Area Food Bank. We have our usual session this afternoon at 2pm at the Salvation Army, preparations are underway for our stall at Barton Carnival tomorrow and two of our volunteers, Valerie and Margaret, decided to go ’tatie picking!’ 🥔
AKP Potatoes on Elsham Wold Industrial Estate kindly put aside some potatoes for the food bank. Unfortunately Val and Margaret couldn’t manage them all 😳 but took enough to give out to our clients for the next few sessions. Potatoes are always popular when we have them available.
AKP have kindly invited us back whenever we would like to collect more. Thank you to them for their generosity. 🙏
See you all tomorrow at the carnival.
