Standing with women. Listening. Supporting. Signposting. đź’ś

In the past year, requests for support from women to Inside Justice have risen by over 200%.

Every message we receive matters. And even when we can’t directly take a case forward, we are committed to helping women and their loved ones find the support they need — whether that’s emotional guidance, legal signposting, or trusted organisations who can help.

This year, we created a new Women’s Support Hub, bringing together useful resources in one place:

And if you need more personal, one-to-one guidance, you can always email us:

You are not alone.
We are listening.
And we will always respond with care and respect.

🎬 Watch on Netflix: Conviction – Murder at the Station

This two-part BBC documentary follows members of Inside Justice’s pro bono Advisory Panel as they investigate the conviction of Roger Kearney, who maintains his innocence in the murder of Paula Poolton.

Inside Justice’s forensic expert Dr Ann Priston says:
“Roger Kearney’s case should have been referred to the Court of Appeal many years ago when the flaws in the interpretation of some of the scientific evidence were clearly pointed out to the CCRC.”

Years later, Roger remains imprisoned. Our experts continue to work on his case — without government funding — using cutting-edge forensic science to uncover the truth.

We are now in constructive dialogue with the CCRC’s new leadership and look forward to closer collaboration on behalf of those still waiting for justice.

'All I have is a piece of paper saying I was found not guilty.’
— Grzegorz Szal

Almost eight years after he was wrongly imprisoned for life, Grzegorz is still reckoning with everything he lost: the early years of his daughter’s life, his health, and his sense of safety.

Inside Justice worked alongside his solicitor to expose serious failures — from key evidence overlooked to crucial forensic assumptions proved wrong. That work helped clear his name.

But today, Grzegorz has been denied compensation. Like so many others, he has been failed twice: first by the investigation, then by a system that refuses to recognise the harm done.

Please read and share this powerful Big Issue feature. Stories like Grzegorz’s show exactly why our work matters — and why change is urgently needed.

Grzegorz Szal hoped compensation might help him move on with his life. Instead, he's faced years of unresolved torment.

💙 This , we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make Inside Justice possible.

Every day, expert scientists, lawyers, and investigators examine fresh evidence and support applicants on their journey to justice. Operational volunteers carry out vital triage, scoping reviews, and help us with communications, events and finance.

Together, they contribute work worth over half a million pounds every year — a lifeline that allows us to continue our mission with no government funding and the equivalent of just two full-time staff members.

With around 1,000 applications a year — plus signposting, family support, advocacy, education and outreach to drive systemic change — our volunteers truly are the backbone of Inside Justice.
