What a fantastic week of songwriting!🙌🎤❤️

We were missing 4 kids on Friday in Tring as they started their half term early but hopefully we’ll do more songwriting this term and get them involved!!
We had some absolute bangers in Tring. Our two words from the word generator were ‘Runner’ and ‘Blank’. We had a rap song, we had a song about the Olympics, we had love and heartbreak songs. It was fabulous!🤣🙌🙌🎤

Now we break for Half Term and spooky week, I ask everyone at RCK to have a look at the songs we’re learning and sneak in some practise! We have two big Christmas gigs end of November and I cannot wait!❤️🙌🎤🌲⭐️

Have a wonderful spooky scary week!🎃💀👻🤡

AYLESBURY DID SONGWRITING!

We did actually do songwriting at Harpenden yesterday too but I stupidly forgot to take a photo of their hard work and how brilliantly they did, but I did remember today!🙌🤍
Well done Aylesbury, I’ve already had messages from a couple of parents saying their child went home and sang their song to them.🥹

Songwriting is really brilliant, as it gives them a chance to express themselves and show off their talent in a different way. They all got two words from the word generator, yesterday was ‘Bow’ and ‘Linger’, today the words were ‘Book’ and ‘Treat’!

Well done Harps and Ayles, tomorrow is our Tring group and then we’re off for a halloweeny half term!

🌲DATE CHANGE 🌲 We have 2 Christmas Carnivals to perform at so far this term🙌⭐️🎤🎄
⭐️22nd November Harpenden Christmas Carnival⭐️
⭐️28th November Tring Christmas Festival⭐️

Unfortunately our Wycombe Swan Performance has been Postponed. But that’s ok as it gives up a lot more time to be prepared and ready!! It was only a couple of weeks away and I know everyone could have done with a bit more time!

BUT we do have these two lovely community shows to perform at. More information will be sent out to parents soon. And as soon as I get the new date for Wycombe, I’ll let everyone know.

See everyone at Tring tonight🙌⭐️

ITS FRIDAY! What a lovely week we’ve had, one more class in Tring before the weekend!

Although our show at the end of October is postponed, we do have two Christmas Shows coming up! So lots to look forward to!!

Have an amazing weekend everyone, can’t wait for tonight!❤️🙌🎤⭐️

I’m currently organising some other gigs for the kids that will be more professional intimate shows, so will be putting out more information soon🙊🙈

Look forward to seeing Harpenden tonight and the rest of the gang this week❤️⭐️

I had to post this!! Getting amazing feedback is always so lovely and makes my day. But getting it from the actual kids who attend is another level of happiness. It reminds me why I started these classes in the first place. I love to sing and as a kid I so desperately wanted to be a famous star, where everyone knew my name and knew my voice. But as I got older, I found such a deeper joy in bringing that out of kids. It’s not just about making them a star in the future, it’s about building confidence, improving technique and watching them notice their growth! It’s also so lovely watching them make life long friends and really care about what I have to teach them!
And I’d love to say specifically about Emilia, over the past three years, her voice has blossomed tremendously, she has so much power and amazing control. With the passion she has, her voice will take her so far!❤️ can’t wait to see her do that in our upcoming shows!! Kate Marriott what an amazing kid you have!

Thanks so much for this comment and keep em coming guys😉❤️
Have an amazing week and see you all in Harpenden on Wednesday, Aylesbury on Thursday and Tring on Friday!❤️🎤

Last Sunday, Maisie and myself were invited down to the Mad Squirrel in Amersham!
I sang a few songs and so did Maisie with the wonderful Sunday Afternoon Live Band!

This is exactly why I do Rock Chorus Kids, to see kids grow into their voices and become ready to perform professionally! Everyone was so impressed with Maisie, at only 16 performing with a professional band to friends and family but also strangers enjoying their lunch and the music!

If you think your child would be interested in getting involved with something like this in the future then please let me know and come along for classes. As soon as opportunities arise, I will grab them for anyone who’s ready!
RCK is about building that confidence so that even at the age of 16, you’re ready to perform your own set and get a taste of the music industry!
I can’t wait to see some more of you up there soon!❤️🙌
