The government says there’s no need for a government-led televised briefing to the nation on the threats from the climate and nature crisis.
They say the public is already aware - thanks to two “Climate and Nature Statements” in the House of Commons, one from Ed Miliband last year, another this July from then Nature Minister, Mary Creagh.
Whilst welcome, we don’t think two 10 minute statements to a handful of MPs are a substitute for briefing the entire nation. Do you?
