RDJ Rugby Academy Camp 2026 at Banbridge RFC 🏉

09/07/2026

Really pleased with the direction my company is going and this week we held another fantastic and successful RDJ Sports Development Ltd camp at Banbridge Rugby Football Club for almost 50 kids, which has just completed.

Weather was hot but kids and coaches gave 100% effort and the club and all who were involved. Fantastic coaching team of Zane Ansell, Nico le Roux, Lindsey Smith and Antonín Brabec put out some really technical coaching this week, which kids and parents enjoyed.

Also ran a 1 hour session for the banbridge Rfc women’s 1st team, which went down really well!!

At the end of the camp, the official nominated players who stood out were awarded with part scholarships to spend a month or more at UXi Sport in Cape Town next year.

Thanks to Charlie Farrell and Jemma Farrell, as well as all the Banbridge Rugby Football Club officials and staff, for making this week so special. Thanks to Benjy Van der Byl for the T-shirts too.

See you all next year.

I am really pleased to be re-igniting my relationship with Lithuania, and with Kaunas Rugby in particular. Lithuania was the first European country to believe in what I do and embrace my Exchange programmes, Elite Camps, Talent ID Programme and my projects to build and develop the game in smaller nations. After Lithuania, came Czech Republic, Austria, Holland, Estonia, Finland, Hungary and also some of the clubs in countries like Portugal, France, Spain and several clubs in the UK and Ireland.

We ie Kaunas Rugby Academy and my company, are now working on the first summer and Autumn camps for Lithuania, scholarship opportunities for Kaunas Rugby Academy players to spend time in the UK and South Africa at schools for the yoiunger players and at UXi Sport for the older players.

Thanks to Irmantas Urbaitis Linas Naujalis Kaunas Rugby Academy and all the players and coaches that have come through the programme in the past and are really doing well in their own careers now.

Tiems, kurie nori daugiau. Tiems, kurie nebijo būti mokomi ir augti.

“Average players fear feedback. Elite players crave it.”

Jei ši mintis tau artima – mūsų durys atviros.

Another fantastic RDJ Sports Development Ltd camp this week in Prague, this time at Rugby Club Tatra Smíchov and finishes today.

Had an opportunity to assist the club through coaches Dale Winslow and Luke Brewster who worked with the club’s director of rugby and Czech under 16 head of rugby Filip Vacek and all the officials at the club.

We also had a chance to speak to parents and coaches of all the age groups about our South African and UK part scholarship programmes with UXi Sport through Anton Moolman and Thea Miller and a new programme starting in September, the UXI Sport’s new Women’s HP Institute partnership with Leicester tigers women’s academy. If you’re keen to host one of our camps through RDJ Sports Development Ltd please message me directly.

Some pictures below to share on some of the coaching and meetings.
