✒️Bookings are now open for The Lantern Writers Autumn term 2026.

"Lovely relaxed atmosphere with much support to spark creativity and share ideas with other writers."

The 10-week course starts on Fri 25th September, 3.30-5.30pm. The course fee is £100.

📝Creative writing is there for everyone! No special skills are required. Just bring a pen and paper or laptop, an interest in enjoying creative writing and your open mind and heart.

Our Volunteers’ Tea Party was a really special occasion celebrating all our incredible LAC volunteers.

🏆Extraordinary service awards were presented, including one for the brilliant Andrew McBride who is leaving for pastures new after 28 years!

🌟The Lanterns – the LAC’s fun version of the Oscars – were awarded to an amazing group of people who’ve been involved in our productions.

🌻And we had a gorgeous spread of afternoon tea, in a summery Provencal style.

We’ve had lots of lovely feedback from those who attended, so we’re very pleased that you felt our appreciation for all that you do to make the LAC the success it is 💛
