Another Folkin’ Raffle
We’ve been donated this amazing canvas painting created by Frantz Gousse in 1991 that will be up for auction next month.
This original painting on canvas depicting a colourful Haitian jungle scene Is framed in a bespoke wooden frame 20’’ X 24’’. It has been donated to us by our member and local legend Chris Allen. Chris purchased this painting in Haiti and has been the sole owner since 91. Pre bids are now open and live auction is Friday November 13th at 7pm.

Hello Folks!

*Join Mr. Punch & Harlequin for an evening of heckling and hammering. They will be auctioning donations to raise £1500 which will shore up our FPS coffers and get us through the winter.*

Our community has come through with some bloomin’ marvellous items to tempt you into bidding. _*Artwork, instruments, humans, sea worthy vessels, books, handcrafted goods, bric-a-brac … and more!*_
We guarantee there will be something to suit all pockets and plenty to fill up your stockings, so get involved and help us to KEEP OUR DOOR OPEN.

Bidding items will be shared on our social media Folk Preservation Society and can be viewed in the shop from Tuesday 10th November.

Donations welcome and accepted until Tuesday 10th November.
Attend in person at the shop or join online.
Pre bids also accepted.

Doors 6.30pm. Live Bidding commences At 7pm.

Folk Here Tonight are Devon based folk duo, Harry and Amerie, who founded the Folk Preservation Society in October 2024.

We invite you to a Community Feast and death folk concert during the week of Samhain. Join us in a celebration of life, through embracing the reality of death.

Bring food to feed the living, eulogies to the dying, and memories of the dead.

After we feast, Folk Here Tonight will draw the evening in with a concert. Sit back and re-member all that has been lost and all that remains.

This event is being held at St James Church, Teignmouth, on Tuesday 3rd November from 6pm to 10pm.

Tickets in the usual way, in person from the shop, or by messaging us here.
£15 for members, £20 for non members.

Join us for our annual evening of Samhain celebrations on Sunday 1st November.

We gather the beasts at 4pm on the crossroads of Teign St and Fore St, in Teignmouth. We shall then parade to the back beach for a Dusking Ceremony at sunset.

Dress for the occasion, bring out your Beasts, and get ready to call in the wild ones from the darkness.

It will be held within the Anamona Tigos - House of Souls; an FPS Maker Take Over exhibition brought to you by .Richardson_puppets and .

The Maker Moots are an opportunity to be together with other Maker Folk to chat, inspire, share, discover, dream, wonder and collaborate. Our theme for this one is WINTER IS A-COMING! So it is high time we ask ourselves and each other, “What will YOU be bedding in?”
