We had a close call at the Meadow Centre this evening with a fire that started in the long grass in the park next to our decking. The fire brigade were called but thanks to Karen Ryding, Craig Breslan, Mylie Breslan, Keeley Breslan, Harry and his Mum who called the fire brigade it was put out before they arrived.
Could we PLEASE ask the people who sit and drink on our decking to STOP throwing your bottles and cans into the bushes and put them in a recycling box, according to the fire brigade the sun on the bottles are what probably caused the fire!
Next time it might be a lot more serious.
Also a big thank you to Teignmouth Fire station for coming out and making sure everything was safe
