We hope you have been & still are having a lovely summer. We’re thinking forward to September and hers a look at what’s on :
September Events:

Our regular coffee mornings on Mondays and Thursday mornings (big thanks to the volunteers who host these)

Monday afternoons are board games socials 2-4.

Tuesday is keep-fit (chair yoga type) , this restarts on Tues 8th after a break (big thanks to thanks to volunteers Celia, Lilian and Marian) .

Saturday French sessions recommence on Sat 5th with Florence. (Merci Florence! )

Teas and coffees at these socials are £2 for non-members will £3 .

Film night . Friday 26th
The film this month is Hamnet, 7pm £3, (£4 non-members) A thank you to Shiela for putting these evenings together .

Sunday 27th
We have a celebration afternoon tea tea for our outgoing committee and trustees. 3.30. There will be a list in the hub after 2nd Sept for names of members who wish to come along to thank them for their involvement over the years)

A welcome back also to the various groups (Bridge, Canasta, Yoga, Writing and Mahjong)

Finally:
We have been offered the opportunity to take part in small workshops of 5 or 6 to understand our energy usage and save as much as we can. Any members interested please contact Pauline (membership sec)

Would you like to be growing your own fruit, vegetables and flowers if you had a little space where you could do so? If you live within 5 miles of Shaldon you can enquire about going on our short waiting list for an allotment on the allotment field in the heart of the village. Plot sizes vary. To enquire, make contact via Facebook Messenger and tell us where you live and a little about your gardening experience or ask us any questions you might have about the low costs of having an allotment or whatever.

We’ve a community table at our antiques event, if you don’t have enough items for a table or a table share, bring your pieces down to the hub on Friday 14th between 4-6pm & we’ll sell it for you ( 20% commission on your agreed price to the hub charity )
