The shops in Babbacombe are fundraising for another defibrillator for Babbacombe. There will be prizes galore.

We held our AGM and Public Meeting on Tuesday 21st April 2026, at The Royal Hotel on the Babbacombe Downs. Many thanks to the Royal for hosting all of our meetings.

In February, at our public meeting, we heard from Lincoln Sargeant, the Director of Public Health for Torbay. [His presentation can be found on the link below]. He talked about ways that we can improve our quality of life through exercise, volunteering and staying connected to other people.

With that in mind, at the April public meeting, we presented the work and opportunities open to residents in the district. It is amazing to look at the sheer volume of work completed by the volunteers of the groups affiliated to the Community Partnership.

It is clear that these volunteers improve your community and in the process they have made friends and had a lot of fun. So, if you fancy trying activities that range from gardening, reclaiming our lanes, litter picking, crafting, bowls, disabled sailing [DSA] and learning about local history – take a peek at the PowerPoint presentation via the link below.
