Congratulations to our new Cadet Sergeant, Rory!

After two hard days of assessments over the rugged terrain of Salisbury Plain at the RMC National Cadet Sergeants' Boards, you have proven that you have what it takes to be promoted to Cadet Sergeant.

This achievement is a testament to your hard work, commitment, and dedication.

The weekend was about more than just being tested; it was also an opportunity to meet cadets from across the country, make new friends, and enjoy a memorable experience.

Congratulations to all of the other candidates as well. Some of you may not have been successful this time, but you should be proud of yourselves for stepping up to the challenge and giving it your best effort.

Earthshot Challenge – The Big Cleanup 🌍♻️

This week, our Junior Cadets took part in the Earthshot Challenge – The Big Cleanup.

Inspired by the Earthshot Prize, launched by Sir David Attenborough and Prince William in 2020, the challenge encourages young people to think about ways to help reverse the climate crisis and repair our environment by 2030.

The cadets spent the evening helping to clear litter from the footpaths along the River Tone. While carrying out the cleanup, they also learned about the history of the river and the importance of protecting local habitats.

By removing rubbish from the area, the cadets helped safeguard wildlife, improve the environment for other river users, and contribute to keeping the river cleaner and healthier for everyone.

Well done to all the cadets who took part and made a positive difference in their local community!

⛵️ Somerset & Dorset District Sailing Competition ⛵️

A huge congratulations to our very own AC Charlie, who competed in the Open RS Zest category at the Somerset & Dorset District Sailing Competition.

After a series of hard-fought races against experienced sailors who are on the water week in, week out, Charlie achieved a very respectable 4th place finish.

An excellent performance, demonstrating determination, skill, and perseverance throughout the competition. We are incredibly proud of your achievement.
